I completely agree that the killer app is Vision Pro software itself. The way the immersion works, and the way apps are placed in your environment is simply amazing. The adventure video where the girl walks across the tight rope. I literally had to take the headset off because I felt my stomach drop because of the height experience.

Did the demo last week and as someone who has been using VR since 2015, immersive video is the most impressive thing I’ve seen in VR. It blew my mind in a way it hasn’t been since the first time I put on a Vive
I have it and finally got my Zeiss lenses. And It’s amazing. I’m most impressed with the multitasking. Having 6 apps open at once without making the screens fit a small space is the killer app for me.
Using Vision Promo on two 4 hour flights was flawless for me. First flight I turned it on before we started moving, second flight the AVP turned it on for me as we were in the air. Both experiences were stable. Also, Southwest let me wear it during takeoff and landing - they only asked for devices 2lbs or more to be stowed.
AVP is 7x better than the Quest 3 if you’re not interested in using the Quest 3. Spending 500 bucks on a device I won’t use is more expensive than spending 3.5k on a device I will use and love.
To different things, Quest 3 is for gaming, Facebook, discord, messenger,UA-cam, movies ans Standalone, etc.... Apple is just an iPhone mirror, and MacBook screen mirror. And NO controller.... what is better? I have used VR for 10 years now, I have NO use for Apple pro googels... I use Q3 for pokerstars and social apps, and I use HP G2 for Microsoft flight simulator.... Apple vision pro is WASTE of money for me🤷♂️
@@TheBsheep The vision pro has amazing displays but overall the Quest 3 is the better headset because there's no killer app on the Vision Pro. Quest 3 can run Google Earth VR which is mind blowing on the Quest 3. When the Vision Pro can run killer apps like that one then I will change my mind.

Ai will definitely handle things like occlusion in full environments. If my OS knows which machine or keyboard I'm using, it should be able to occlude it EASILY. Additionally, hand occlusion will get MUCH better with machine learning of course. I forgot who, but I remember hearing an Apple executive mention something how the hardware is more of a trickle at this point, besides some key items like what turned out to be this headset, and now it's going to be more and more about software specifically.
I noticed the blur only affects passthrough footage, and it definitely doesn't look like motion blur. Objects seem to wider in both directions. So it's probably some kind of processing effect, just not aure if it is intentional for motion sickness or something.
I def see the future of this. My only complaint for the hardware, is the weight. I am usually good for 3 hours. After that, I need a break. All software issues which are limited can be fixed on an update. Overall, love it for watching entertainment. So many opportunities here.
Let me translate it for you: If you have a computer that costs $500 and a computer that cost $3500, maybe in benchmarks and in physical hardware, the $3500 computer might be 7x better or feel 7x better. But 9 times out of 10, depending on what you do, the $500 can get you 50% of the way there. Like if all you do is internet and email then the $500 PC can do 100% of what the $3500 PC can do for you, even though the $3500 one can do it “7x better”.
On your facetime comment around 10min, facetime is my favorite too, but mostly because I don't have to get dressed LOL Also I love the passthrough, and I enjoy being able to see my watch - it's crystal clear for me. I very much enjoyed the video but please have all people in windows on screen at once. I not only like to see reactions of the host while guest is talking It also hurts my eyes when it changes so rapidly back and forth.
This is the first time developers, getting their hands on device. They have to get their hands on the device to develop. All of the things people are complaining about that has not happened lol.
It’s not ghosting. It’s persistence. It’s an OLED issue. Brighter screens will fix this. This is why meta doesn’t have it. Because LED can run 10 times faster persistence
For those who don't know what that is, it's when the pixel displayed doesn't instantly turn off causing a mismatch between sight and movement. Yes, this is 12 milliseconds Apple talks about. Even 12 milliseconds is not fast enough. Low persistence is when the display literally just flashes the image and then goes black, so your brain literally only sees the exact correct image for the exact moment it's accurate for the smallest amount of time possible. Fixes the 'smeariness' you see when moving.
It's not persistence. It affects passthrough footage, but not VR content. It's some kind of processing effect, but I don't know if it is intentional or not.

Apple just joined the game, but if you look at the Oculus/Meta VR headsets... for the last 11 years, they have released a new headset less than 2 years later and each version is significantly better than the last at an affordable price. You can defend this device till the end of dawn - this will never work and will forever be a gimmick Edit: almost every positive review talks about how great it is in there, and I guess it’s true and amazing, but you kind of can tell by now: this will never be practical. iPhone, iPad and Mac are the peak of real life computing. You just can not re-invent the wheel

Will those who pay $4K on the Apple be that happy to replace it when the AVP 2 comes around? Maybe, but not me. Currently in this VR realm, innovation is happening very quickly, and existing models get outdated just as fast.
Do you have one? If not you should, it’s absolutely breathtaking! Apple Vision Pro is the future!!!
@@TheBsheep Why should I owe one when most of the things I do in VR and Mixed reality the Apple can't do? And I should pay 7 times more for it than what I paid for my Quest 3? Makes no sense!
“Why should I own one?” Because you seem to think you know a lot about a product you apparently have never even tried. 🙄
@@snaeshaads8203 Did you even bother trying to comprehend what I said? Was there a single thing that I said that wasn't factually correct or are you just hot and bothered by the fact that I don't believe in buying an overpriced prototype because of the brand? 🤔
The lenses on Vision Pro is better because it’s more 3D because the lenses are closer to being in the same position as someone’s eyes. Vs iPhone it’s 10 mm between them
😂
Thats why people's bringing it back pffff come on
hello, apple pencil, anyone?
COMPLETELY MISSED the social aspect !!! In Apple Vision Pro you are ALONE but Quest 3 is very SOCIAL place for playing games, watching movies or just hanging out with friends !!!
JR the killer feature is any imaginable hologram anywhere .......literally Ironman in real life
u r not impressed because it's big and not perfect and this is just the start
I don’t understand any of this. I got one and it was impossible to wear. There were no light seals that fit, no way to se t it that wasn’t outright awkward and painful, and the field of view is like looking through a beer can.
It’s awful. You’re not missing anything.
Mark Z, is desperately trying to vlog sell Quest as a batter devise right now.
He's feeling anxious.
Losing battle Mr Z.
Returned mine. And you guys know that after a week you have anything else to do with the thing .. just be honest.
I mean, I use mine for 6-8 hours per day, every day. I certainly understand people who can't find a use for it, ubt I don't understand people who can't see how others can.
You can’t afford it.
@@paulrevere1479Stop coping that you wasted 4000$ for a Quest with a better screen but with less functionality.
@@paulrevere1479today it’s not worth the cost of a MacBook no matter how you spin it. A year or two from now with software updates maybe.
I’m feeling eye strain , I’m only able to use mine a couple hours a day and I’m keeping it. The experience is INCREDIBLE.
Anyone reading these comments. Ignore the trolls and fanboys and just do the demo and see for yourself. Personally, I feel it’s an unmatched experience. The immersion is incredible and every 3-D movie in the Disney app is the greatest 3-D I’ve ever seen in my life.
Prosser is just so much, SO MUCH better than Sam
eyesight will always be there it's iconic and memeable ....and without it it's super boring on the outside
Late 2025 will be the cheaper model
Apple will win in AR Meta will win in VR apple glass will replace your iPhone and Meta vr will replace your computer/gaming console !!! One day
I consider myself one of the biggest Apple Fan Boys, but I have to say: AVP feels like the modern day tamagotchi. You can defend this device till the end of dawn - this will never work and will forever be a gimmick
Edit: almost every positive review talks about how great it is in there, and I guess it’s true and amazing, but you kind of can tell by now: this will never be practical. iPhone, iPad and Mac are the peak of real life computing. You just can not re-invent the wheel
The Verge continues to double down on their poor take
Still??? I feel like they're more focused on it as a hardware device and not paying attention to the experience it provides.
"Experience it provides" lol the reviewer has been using VR since 10 years ago. Also he has used it longer than anyone who's just bought it retail for just a week.
We'll see how it sounds after the honeymoon phase is over and it's comes down to raw practicality.
ok, so Potter knowledge seriously failed here....Jesus....first HP movie Chamber of Secrets....and then talking about Voldemort in the back of Quirrell's head.....stick to tech :)))
😂😂😂Best BS video....
Nope. Vision pro is a flop.
