Oh boy!!!! I love this song! It was my pa’s favorite and he played it on his harmonica, too! Lots of memories with that song. They don’t have it in our hymnal either, but our piano player is awesome and she knows all the old hymns and will play it for me during the offering part of the service.

I love this song! Loved it since I was a child and we would sing it around the piano. Now, our Praise Team has it in our repertoire along with the contemporary and other traditional songs. Our church sings it with heart and soul! I love the Homecoming video with Jeanne Johnson singing this!

Mark you need the Songs of Life hymn book darlin' So many wonderful songs in there like God Put a Rainbow in the Sky. Enjoyed the video very much. It was like being in my Dad's living room.
If I wrote a hymn book I wouldn't put that song in there. Why would you want to sing about wanting a mansion a harp and a crown. When I get to heaven and if I'm given a crown, I'm going to lay it at his feet.
