Cheers buddy kind words thank you 👍👍👍
really nice to see someone take pride in their work, your right it is easy to dip and cut, did the same as you with some laurels early this year, some looked straggly and sparse, but hopefully will thicken out and she will have a really nice straight hedge.
Cheers buddy..im sure it'll be fine for you 👍👍👍

good job and I see now how you place your trimmers on the ground and in some cases burn the grass with the hot engine this is a back to the future commet
YEP😂😂😂
Hello,
Had the same hedge planted last summer so just starting to see it grow properly.
What are the best months to trim it, please?
Seen different reviews saying different things, so really contradicting advice.
Thank you 🙏
Nice job Lee. I planted a small pitisporum hedge around 15 years ago. I also planted some willow. The willow I've have to cut every year to around 6ft. I have gently trimmed the pitisporum every year as well but this year I cut them both back to around 5ft. The willow has grow back as vigorous as usual but the pitisporum seems to be a bit slower in recovering. Should I be worried and can i give it anything to boost it . Or just wait and see. Cheers mate
I tend to have great results from growmore... you could try that 👍
@@LHLgardenservices thanks mate I'll give it a go..
We recently have had a grissilinia hedge planted and want it to grown another 2 feet over time. We have been advised to trim the tops in a few weeks to encourage bushy growth to ‘join ‘ them together but will this stop them growing to the height I want?
I would trim the sides as this will encourage it to thicken..I would personally leave the top to grow and clipbit as soon as it is at or close to the height you want 🤔
@@LHLgardenservices similarly my griselinia hedge has been in a year and i havent trimmed it yet - i want it 2ft taller so should i also only do the sides and not the top please?
Great job Lee 👍 How's your John deere going?
Cheers pal 👍John Deere has gone back mate..never liked it ..bit too heavy 💪💪

I thought so Lee, I've not had one myself as a few friends have advised me to not even bother. I did look and decided against! I stick to hayter and Honda you just can't beat them!
@@matthewyounge4536 I agree honda and hayter great mowers. I've just got a stiga and happy at mo . will be putting review out soon. 👍

Ah well best of luck mate I hope it goes well for you! Keep up the good work and videos Lee 👍👌
Takes a few cuts to get them how you want. People knock them but I think if you keep on top of the cutting they look good.
very true 👍👍cheers for watching pal 👍👍
got one to cut tomoz hoping it go's well lol
I'm sure you'll be fine 👊
aye much easier to manicure as it thickens up . got one in the same situation .
Hi Lee, I have a young Griselinia hedge which I want to grow tall as quickly possible. Do you have any tips for encouraging the hedge to grow taller rather than wider?
Well I would still clip the sides (and obviously leave the top) as this will stimulate growth. Keep it watered and apply some fertiliser

You should get around 15 /16 inches or even 18 of growth 👍
@@LHLgardenservices top tip - thanks very much !
"Straight-ish"!
🤓
You sound like you’re from Ireland, not England.
Sorry about that 🤔🤔🤔
LHL garden services uk don’t be sorry, it’s a good thing!!
@@LHLgardenservicesI planted this plant last summer and it grew nicely. I decided to trim it in spring and clipped the top... those stems the completely died. I'm now scared to touch it... any advice?
