@@DjangoGroen Just started playing ETS2 exactly true the point is to simulate what its like as a trucker its hard work, if real life had a cheat mode we wud all use it right lol :) yes theres the lottery and if you have a good idea you can make billions but in my opinion thats the fun of the game working hard and earning cash from nothing
I have a range of trailers (which ones I use tend to depend on factors like what industries are there) which I or my drivers use. Keeping a couple of spare trailers at each Garage means that, even if all your trailers are out with your drivers you can still pick up a load with a trailer. What I have found is that, if doing a job [from the Cargo Market] with your trailer the payout tends to be more than if you take a job from the Freight Market.
Configure a truck to suit the needs of it's job. For hauling box trailers with lighter loads, you can use a more efficient, less powerful, 4x2 configuration than for lowbeds with heavy hauls like machinery, where an 8x4 would be appropriate.
Thanks :D I'm not a complete newbie anymore with level 20 and a few workers, but I'm starting to get bored at the flatbed trailer I've had since the very beginning. I'll probably get the insulated trailer. Even if flatbed offers a ton of different jobs it's nice to try new things
Hey Is there any downside to going with the double insulated trailer compared to the single insulated trailer? Also, How does it work with the trailer? Do i need to travel with empty trailer and pick up the cargo, and then drive it back where?
Hello I have watched all these videos I'm on truckers mp last night my Mercedes got totaled and I'm in debt because someone 100% my cargo should I think of downgrading my truck to maybe an iveco volvo etc?
Thanks, i kept looking at my job offers and wondering why anyone would even bother with the cargo market because the euro/km was lower than freight market, turns out it was just because i was using a flatbed.
most cargoes are available in the freight market. However, cargoes like vaccines which makes the most money is only available for the insulated trailers.
I am sorry if I miss it, but I think the most important question was not answered: What is the advantage of having your own trailer? I explain my thinking: Why should I pay €100.000 for a brand new trailer, which will increase my expenses (maintenance), and may limit my cargo options (which is directly linked to the amount of money I get paid? Moreover, I can invest that same money buying a brand new truck for an employee to work with, which will bring me more money. Thus, IMO owning a trailer is just for show.

Transportation companies use their own trailers to haul loads. So using your own equipement is only appropriate.
