Thanks Richard. You've shown how to get the next-to-last date record in your DMax vids. Is there a way to modify the Max function to get the next to last date as well? Thanks in advance.
Great! But what if I want to have a continous form where only the last: ContactDate and notes from that contact date for each person along with their names (from another table) in my table were shown. Since the tables have relations the query only lets me see all records resulting in multiple rows or just see those that have contact information. I'm heading back to the last-function if I don't get my head around this.
SO HELPFUL!!! I thank you so much for putting this out here for me to find a year later :)
thanks for this tutorial
is very helpful for my project.
You are most welcome

Mmm... you mean the Max() function for form/report footers? Don't think so.
Perfect and thanks👌
thanks Richard, it works but the problem i see here is you can not add new value to this query result ( it is not editable anymore probably).

Just to the point. I never really understood the existence of those functions in Access.
Yep
You never honor Uhuru [may she rest in peace]
You mean Uhura? I love Uhura. You're right though... just one of many secondary characters that deserve more love.
