Good point and you should see it in person, the hinge is a work of art. Complete counter-sunk and it's just incredible they were able to 'squeeze' it in. I personally prefer my display back watches not to have any obstructions, but for anyone looking for a watch just begging to be engraved, look no further!
Michael please make a video of your new Calatrava 5127R. Make it long and informative like your other watch videos. I could never find a good video on this particular Calatrava. Thanks and much appreciated if you make the video!
I'm not sure about their decision to go with 39mm for a simple piece. My next PP (in a couple weeks) will be a 5127R though. Oh yes, the hobnail versions are stunning.
This year only will have the engraving on the inside of the case. This makes the watch definitely worthy of consideration this year!
Love this piece and had an opportunity to purchase it, but passed.
Good price for a Patek Philippe. Thank you very much!

You know it's going to be good when Mr. Stern picks it as one of the two novelties to show from Basel 13.
Hi James, I certainly will keeping your comments in mind.
Do give me a little bit of time though.
Best M.
Absolutely stunning! What's the price?
US pricing for the 5227 J is $35,400 and R/G $37,300; I believe it's a tad cheaper if you purchase at the Salon in Geneve in Swiss Francs.
Its a classic legend !!!

Nice watch but to tell the truth, when it comes to simple (no complications) pateks, I like more the hobnail versions, 3919 and decendants.
