Wow. That’s truly beautiful- simple and not cluttered. Great use of a small space.
This is actually really beautiful. Best video of 2021 so far on this channel!!
looks cozy. especially in sunny day with a glass of lemonade..
Loved watching this transformation just now ❤
Absolutely stunning work!!!!
The fence is beautiful.
Yaaay....a real small backyard for once...love love love it. Inspirational. When you are too busy working on other people's home, it happens i guess...who am i kidding...it happens to all of us! 😅...10 years...it's finally done now!
She looks like Gwyneth Paltrow.. Nice backyard!
Gosh, so she does
Telling someone they look like someone else is...tacky
I love your explanation for making the garage beautiful. It makes so much sense.
Gorgeous backyard. Beautiful beautiful baby!
I love ittttt..and how you include your child and neighbors.ummm when can I come over and relax.😍😍😍😍
Stunning fence. Lucky and smart neighbors. 👍👏
Beautiful design
She did a fabulous job👍
Wonderful!!!💖
love love the backyard and its in Toronto woohoo!!..
Very nice
wow!!!! Amazing backyard! Great Job Sarah!!!!
Stunning!
I'm truly lost for words.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Yes, it rains in Canada. Yes, those cushions could get wet. Generally, people with outdoor cushions store them when not in use or place furniture covers over them. Furniture covers can be purchased at most big box stores. It's a small price to pay for the comfort of * not * having to sit on hot plastic all summer.
Love it!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Inspiring! Thank you.
Gorgeous backyard 🤩
I admit...I love the backyard but was super curious about the garage! Our yard has a garage at the back...on an angle and it takes up SO much space. I had hoped she would talk about access (like an alley) for her vehicles and how that physically worked. Thanks for great small yard inspo though!
Love it😘👍
Well designed
I enjoy your show so much...glad you have finally used your great design skills to create a wonderful yard for your family.
wow epic
Hermoso y que contraste mas perfecto y los colores que suave todo
Love this backyard! Great job Sarah. Would you mind sharing info on the planters? BTW Jack is a little doll💙
Great 👍🏽 job ✨🙌🏽✨
When I first saw the name “Sarah” I thought I was Sarah from “Sarah’s House” on HGTV
Absolutely beautiful... I bet she regretted waiting so long to make it over but hopefully she/they are enjoying the hell out of it now. I honestly scrolled through the video, and so maybe this question of mine was answered, but what do you do w/all the furniture/cushions when it rains??
Generally, people remove the cushions from their furniture and store them (shed, garage, storage bin) or place a furniture tarp over them when not in use.
I wonder how this backyard would have looked..... If a garden designer - instead of an interior designer-had been engaged!!!
It would have turned out completely different, I am sure.
Much more green, more plants, more romance.
A garden eventually.
This backyard is a living room, without a roof.
Seems to be the current trend.
And will probably vanish after a while...
In case the little son will keep it for his own family...
I imagine, there will be meadow, trees and shrubs, roses and bushes... :--))
Sofa in yard ..no rain
Its beautiful but would be much more practical to have a gazebo or some type of cover over the sofa area. Its a hassel to constantly be moving cushions in doors.
What do people do with those huge cushions when it’s raining… I mean the sofa would end up drenched. I know that the materials withstand some rain but I talking about when it’s pouring🤔
What about when it rains?
Does anyone know what she means by prefinished regarding the garage siding? Did they stain the wood themselves before installing, or do you purchase it that way? Thanks! Gorgeous work.
Hi Marie, Pre-finished means that the finish, paint or stain has been applied at the factory and is ready to be installed. It's quick to install and looks great!
As far as rain 🌦 is concerned this appears to be the Ora sectional in Beach Sand from Article which is very low maintenance.
The care instructions specify the following:
Periodically wash [...] and allow to air dry.
Avoid prolonged exposure to [...] extreme weather conditions.
Indoor storage recommended for rainy and cold climates.
Considering Toronto gets precipitation 15 days a month totallying no more 60mm it's relatively dry.🌤
For protective purposes Article sells the LEMTOV sectional cover, and IKEA sells the TOSTERÖ storage bag for pads and cushions.
Looking lovely and kids friendly.. just wondering what you do when rain comes or bad weather!? (Sofa)..
Generally, people remove the cushions from their furniture and store them (shed, garage, storage bin) or place a furniture tarp over them when not in use.
庭院亂象❤❤
Beautiful. Is there video on the interior of the house?
No there is not.
Do you have to walk through the garage (or basement) to get to the backyard?
Her home and garage on each opposite ends. In Toronto the garages are situated in the back alleys. She explained that when she's having her morning coffee she sees the backyard.
My only question what do they do when it rains like the sofa and pillows????
Why oh why do I still read the comments...
👏👏👏👏👏
Genuine question - how does she keep raccoons away? Im planning to redo my backyard in toronto, and this is what holding me back from spending money on the renovation
Get a coonhound.
Is the furniture waterproof? Does she have to move it in during winter and rain?
Yes, the cushions get put away.
Thank you and beautiful design. Can everything out there get wet? Or do you have to cover or bring things inside?
Generally, people remove the cushions from their furniture and store them (shed, garage, storage bin) or place a furniture tarp over them when not in use.
All this furniture is weather proof? Do the cushions have to be removed when it rains? And if so, Where does she store it?
Generally, people remove the cushions from their furniture and store them (shed, garage, storage bin) or place a furniture tarp over them when not in use.
How u manage in the rainy season???
Generally, people remove the cushions from their furniture and store them (shed, garage, storage bin) or place a furniture tarp over them when not in use.
Not sure about that fire pit being used as a child’s play table…. That’s a weird one for me
Lovely, but there is nothing more boring than white flowers!!!! Definitely needs some nice colour to finish it off!
gonna be so dusty
Americans with this size of home saying "Zero Storage" 😩😭😂
* Canadians
No green space? No nature or birds? Too unnatural, to defined. Poor baby..where's the grass?
Beautiful low maintenance backyard. I absolutely love it!
Doesn't it rain over there?
Generally, people remove the cushions from their furniture and store them (shed, garage, storage bin) or place a furniture tarp over them when not in use.
Beautiful! But what happens when it rains? That furniture … Love this ❤️
Gwyneth Paltrow looks a bit like Sarah
She sounds like Gwyneth Paltrow too! First female US president!!!
@@Citruscider34 I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. The internet has done it again.
@@BigBird104 you can google
10 /10 thinking about neighbours re fire pit. Turning it into a table to solve the safety problem with your infant son.
Aging will take a lot of work...anything that include wood even treated wood does not work with our tuff canadian winter. Having to sand everything every 3-4 years is just time consuming not mentioning the cost. Put the all the maintenance on the durable material worth more...don’t even have a garage to store your summer stuff, it will looks bad in 2-3 seasons.
Beautiful as always👏🏻👏🏻
Greatings from Norway! Love this style! Regarding the lamp - how does it work? Is it connected to a battery?
I got some loungers from the fillup club for my new house in melbourne, I love the lazy chair for just relaxing in my garden.

Beautiful job, thanks for the inspiration.
I love it!
Can you tell me from where you did you buy those planters?
Wow huge transformation amazing job 👍
Can I know what is the size of the rectangle table?
The outdoor furniture is lovely. But Toronto weather will destroy them as quick as you can get.
Saludo de Panama🌹🇵🇦
Stunning!!!
Love it!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful transformation but annoying presentation. She's old enough to not be doing the upspeak thing. Statements don't need to end as a question. Full stop.
And you're probably old enough to not be rude to a complete stranger on the internet...but here we are.
@@torysetliff Don't do professional presentations on UA-cam and not expect feedback, positive and/or negative. One of their best designers used to speak super fast and many people, excluding myself, commented about it. She re-paced herself and now is not only one of their best designers, but also gives an engaging presentation.
Well said, Tory.
@@houseandhome That said, I didn't mean to be insensitive and rude. Apologies to you both. The important thing is she has one of the best backyard transformations on the planet that seems very accessible. It's as beautiful as it is practical.
@@paulajf4205 very mature of you to apologize.❤
