3. **Select "Active Status"**.
4. *Toggle off the switch* next to "Show when you're active".
5. Confirm by tapping **"Turn Off"**.
On the Desktop or Web:
1. **Go to Facebook**.
2. *Click on the Messenger icon* in the top right corner.
3. *Click on the three dots* (Options) next to "Messenger".
4. **Select "Turn Off Active Status"**.
5. Choose whether you want to turn off active status for all contacts, certain contacts, or some specific contacts, then click **"Okay"**.
These steps will hide your active status and make you appear offline to others on Facebook Messenger.
