Catch me running around the town if you can my heart on my sleeve and the world in my hands where do we go where do we stand you dream but you never move so don't be mad when I do
Patiently waiting to give up everything I got start thinking about my future at the number one spot my friends think they lost me but I'm still the same me
Hooligans got big hearts but they're just some kids Cali made flashy sins need nobody cause we know where we fit in
I'm so close to the edge of the life that I sacrificed and strived for but you've buried everything we used to fight for set it off
Patiently waiting to give up everything I got start thinking about my future at the number one spot my friends think they lost me but I would never change and I would sell out my pride when everybody wanna say you never gave a damn bout your boys in the first place old Dena (Pasadena) raised me and the road will never change me
To everyone who stuck around this one's for you they may say we're a lost cause but they don't see what I do
Any Hooligans out there in 2024?
Heyy yoo. Still coming back.
I’m here
Hey yooooooo
Me!! I will FOREVER love issues!!
@@jennifersmith4742 love you hooligan
"They may say we're a lost cause, but they don't see what I do."
Even after eight years since I found this song this line still hits so hard for me.
Still sounds fresh after 9 years- love it
Legit too bad this was their peak tho. So much potential
Bom de mais!
Yeahh same
This is lame. You’re joking right???
I agree dude
"to everyone who's stuck around, this one's for you" ❤️
Here's to you 🍻
Tanks
Their style may be a bit weird, but you can't deny how talented they are as musicians
fr
they're unique!
Metalcore/Post-Hardcore mixed with RnB, that's a pretty sick combo if you ask me..
Matabeasts, Similar concept, totally different music/style.
10/10 song, still listening in 2022!
I'm listening in 1997 but my AOL is super fast.
Gong to be listening in 2023 Scene crowd forever
Love your channel. My buddy Michael Bohn from elementary/middle school was the screamer. Dude had Tourette's syndrome and ended up being an awesome screamer/singer.
I was about to write “same brah” and then I remembered what the date was. This shit is timeless; we need more music like this today.
2023 let’s goooo 🤘
2023
I cried so hard when I found out they were going to be at Warped this year. So excited!
right there with you ^-^ x3
+Goth Claudia And with their new album.. ITS GONNA BE RAD
ME TOO OMFGD
get a life grow up
Jason Hamm Oh?
Funny how people think that something that is labeled metalcore or whatever can only be good if it's heavy, or follows a generic pattern of breakdowns and shit. Issues are not trying to be heavy, they're trying to be different, and they are. And they're god damn good at what they do
Not trying to be heavy? Are you serious? No generic breakdowns? Genre classification aside, they're using the same staple breakdown drum beats and chugga chugga crap every other scene band adores; and don't even get me started on the trap-style intro and leads. This is what happens when the industry tries too hard to stay relevant amongst today's youth.
Mate you could not be more blind. The whole "No this totally isn't metalcore BREAKDOWN" intro has been done to death, there's no fucking way you can tell me those verses aren't the same generic chugging every other band does and then the fucking tween-friendly chorus is not something I can say is new.
I'm not saying it's bad, music being fairly subjective in that regard and all, but you're so very, very fucking wrong about them doing something new.
Whatever they are trying to do they fucking suck at it.
HumbleKami they are doing something new.Tys DJing, Tylers R&B parts, AJ's unique guitar style. name one band that is similar to issues in almost every way. you cant.
I'm not saying they're a complete copy/past of any single, other band, but nothing they're doing is completely new either. The heavier parts are fairly standard for almost every band of the genre, techno is used by, like, 50% of the genre, but if you want specifics then you've got Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack, Bring me the Horizon, among many, many more. The intro isn't an exact copy/paste of anything in particular either, but post-hardcore in particular is rife with songs that open in a way that intentionally sounds like a different genre and then smacks you in the face with some chugging immediately after. It's mostly used in covers of pop songs, but Issues is certainly not the first band to pull a fast one with originals.
Again, I'm not attacking the band or trying to tell you that you shouldn't like them, maybe you just like the way they arrange their not-so-unique styles together more than other bands or maybe you originally didn't care about how different they were (which, really, you shouldn't) and liked it regardless, and now you're just pointlessly trying to defend a point because you feel like someone's insulting a band you like.
I love how they combined so many genres
I can never listen to this song just once, i always get so into it and then it ends and i have to play it again LOL
same here
listen to the live acoustic version. It's just as good in it's own way.
Hell yeah.. This and A prophecy by AA. over and over
Sameeeee
Man, this song makes me sad at the end, when the waves are crashing on the beach. The fact that it was released when I was 16 makes me think of 10th grade, and how I first took surfing lessons in elementary school with my best friends. I wish I surfed more, here in San Diego. CALI MADE. It makes me think of all the times I skated in school, all the way up to community college with all my friends. It's sad I won't see them ever again, being 27 years old and it a much different social position than I was back then with mental health, and other personal ISSUES. I wish I was younger again, but life goes by too fast. If no one reads this, just know I might not be alive after you read this. So, give me a good RIP.
Hope you are still here my dude. I was 16 as well when this came out and turning 27 on the 28th. Life comes fast but, enjoy it. We are still "young". Do what you want to do. Go meet new people and surround yourself with people that want you to be happy. Keep it kicking!
I would love to run around the beaches of California while listening to this, But I live in Japan, so I have to drive in the GTA, I'm full of stamina!
I had just graduated high-school when this came out :/
Why the fuck are people so preoccupied with categorizing what genre this is? If you like it, great! If you don't like it, great! Just listen to it for what it is!

kaykayrawr s that ^
+GalacticNipple and a little bit of this ^

+Erik Shaw Right on.
Whoa, I'm liking the way they mixed genres here.
Fuck man, this makes me so nostalgic of 2013. Best year of my life.
Dude, same!
The funny thing is, this is the only song I ever liked by these guys, but I have so many memories attached with it.
+IAmWhoTheGodsDetest p ,
Same here, 2013 really was the best year.
same! 2013 best year of my life
Pues esta es la primera canción que dije que iba a escuchar cuando pisara Usa 🇺🇸 y ya hace 1 año y la sigo escuchando como la primera vez 🗽
This song is so amazing. It gives me chills every time. Issues wouldn't be Issues without Scout. Tyler's vocals are just so amazing. Michael's screams are epic. AJ ad Sky kill it with the guitar and bass. I'm not completely sure if that's Case or Josh on drums, but either way the drums were amazing. Giving love to the whole band because I hardly see the other members ever mentioned. One of my favorite bands.
Whoever directed this video did a great job. Way better than what 99% of this genre has done.
pardon, but i love your shirt * ^ *
Rue Ryuzaki Haha, thank you!
Dillon Novak directed it. He's great to work with. I have personal experience cuz I'm the kid wearing the CTC shirt
Nick Zimmerman cool as fuck dude c:
Never mind, the guy who makes videos for Rise Records his last name is Ziberman, not Zimmerman.
As of yesterday, this song is 3 years old. Dang
still jams as hard as ever too me. Their new album is pretty fucking amazing though.
Try 6 years
8 years checking in
Skating around with your friends in your early 20's is the definition of living life
I remember when I used to hate them. Now I'm addicted and I can't stop listening to this song
They put on a killer show at Warped Tour this year. Seriously one of the best lives bands I saw which speaks volumes about his vocal capacity.
GLASSHOUSE exactly what I was thinking
Suga
Kinda sucks to hear such good music then see a lot of "real metal fans" hating on it because it's "not metal"
Isn't the whole rock genre by itself supposed to be about expressing who you are despite what other people say.?
Preaaachh
***** Would you stand next to pile of rotting garbage, pointing at it and shouting out to people passing by, stating that it is a pile of garbage? I don't think so. So if you think this is garbage, why are you still here? The rest of us dont think its garbage.
***** While I respect your opinion, I do believe it is flawed. Their general style of Metalcore/hardcore/nu-metal/Whatever the hell you wanna call it is meant to stand out and not really seem normal. Listen to any one of their songs and the transitions will be awkward, they'll throw you off, but if you listen, it's in time, it goes with the beat. I don't understand how you think the singing is terrible, Tyler Carter has a great voice. The lyrics are ehh. But how, exactly, does Nickelback come into play here?
You may find his voice annoying, but that doesn't necessarily make it bad. You also may find Nickelback annoying, that doesn't make them bad xx
***** I am neither one of those things and I disagree on both fronts. I know many people who also are neither of those things who also disagree on both fronts. Nickelback isn't necessarily good, but they are talented enough to get big. Issues are pretty damn talented and it's definitely out of the norm. It's not bad, it's just not their/your cup of tea. So, from now on, I suggest that you be able to define the line between bad and not your style.
i just discovered this band and i must say that their shit is good. i love it.
have u tasted their shit then
Blurryface Ysa that is my same "issue" I'm facing.
Still a banger 2023 sad they are broken 😢
I always find it funny whenever people hate on cleans. These guys aren't like August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, or any other band that is just all screams/growls. With this type of music, cleans are appropriate, flow well, and definitely add to the power and feeling of the song.
I would've fell hard in love with this band without its clean. That's what pissed me off. That's just like learning your crush's got a weiner.
*****
then go listen to Nativ
JD Belanger that would stop you?
I have quite a varied music taste - it goes from metal, rock, post-hardcore to '80s pop, hip hop and alternative. I don't give a single shit what anyone else says,i love my music and i love this band :)
What a small world because I like different kinds of music to that's why I listen to Issues so much 😄
Who’s still watching this after 7/8 years..... missed them being complete

Finally a band that can fuse many different genres and do it right.
+MetalSoHard Have you not listened to Enter Shikari?
+bitebullet745 Bruh, amen. Although ES is mainly electronic fusion.
+bitebullet745 DUUUUDE ES is fucking epic man, especially the new album, not all of the songs but the album is great, I love The Last Garrison the most.
ARC ZA Myopia and Anaesthetist were the best imo. The Mindsweep was awesome.
bitebullet745 I don't know how ES isn't one of the biggest bands atm
Tyler's voice is fucking amazing. What the hell are you guys complaining talking about??
It doesn't fit with the style of music.
ItsZifx It is perfect what are you talking about
ItsZifx honesty i dont agrees but i at the monment
Jay S It actually isn't perfect, but that's what makes them stand out. Tyler stands out like a sore thumb yet somehow they make some good music. It's almost like he's an outcast who's making it work
I second that and ItsZifx it is different but they're changing it up a bit compared to everyone else and it's pretty badass
Is this entire band a "fuck you" to genre labeling?
YES.
Yes and I love it
YES
I can't believe Ive never heard of this band...it's 2021...man time completely wasted listening to asking Alexandria and all those metal bands....but this music...Holy hell.... I've been listening to this non-stop for the last 6 months... Almost every single song is good.
being late is better than never!
Never too late bro never late…too bad this lineup is gone

+Nicole Leann Right? Issues is awesome. I love the part at 1:07
came up here because i found the drummer's instagram, and saw his drumcam video
A lot of people apparently hate the genre mix but I think it's perfect though
its hilarious how issues goes from suicide silence to sleeping with sirens within seconds, and then some random dubstep thrown in, but i really love this song
that's exactly right
that's exactly how I feel xD
Luna Tigris Please tell me where in this song you heard any Suicide Silence influence.
Julius Caesar any part where there is screaming its pretty heavy sounding to me I juts said suicide silence because they are well known for being heavy
suicide silence to suicide silence
2022 and still here! Still one of my favorite jams and still such a gem!
This song never gets old!🔥
I started off not liking this band... but lately i love em
2019 and I'm still listening to this
jowboy bastyyy 2020!!!!!
forever a bop
2021 still on repeat.

No one does this kind of thing better than Issues. These guys have paved an amazing path into the new age of metal.
seeing them perform this song live was very emotional and amazing and im just I WISH I COULD GO BACK
i have nothing bad to say about this i love this song and my opinion is the only one that matters GREAt GREAT song especially live
Thats awesome to hear, Mona Lisa!

i listened to this song all last summer.....and im going to do the same thing this summer
Haven't listened to this song in about 5 years. Brings back so much memories ❤️
Same yo
This song brings me back. Music is a form of art, regardless the genre, people will surround themselves with what sound comforts them the most, what relates to their inner personality.
THIS..... This right here makes me so happy.
Woah, this is awesome!! I don't know how I've never heard it! Sounds like a combination of Post-Hardcore, Nu Metal, and Djent.
its life. thats what it is xD
You sound like a mixture of shit and peter dinklage
Brian Jordan Bartels have you heard the newest album? Djent influence for sure.
It's purely art
Warped Tour 16, see you there!
YEESYESYESYES
WARPED 18!!! SEE U THERE
Mayci Olschewske WAS JUST GONNA SAY THAT
aaron dufner i saw them yesterday i’m nutting 😩😩
The Tyler's voice is wonderful, and the scream and the instruments are so fucking amazing
Really hard working dudes. They deserve to be where they are at in the music industry and i couldn't be more happy for them. Keep up the awesome work Issues, you will only improve on this musical journey of life that We, Strength In Numbers, are sure you always wanted to live!
Issues should be on the cover of Alternative Press next month.
I miss Issues so much... Forever one of my favorite bands 👌💜
Anyone here in 2024? 🤘🏼
✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
A ton of you are degrading this song by saying the cleans are unneeded or trashy or that the mix of music is too much.
This is, and always has been the same Issues that released Black Diamonds. I think the flow of all these types of music sounds perfect with the good balance of heaviness and cleanliness. This is what Issues is about.
Hooligans
Got big hearts but they're just some kids
Cali made, flashy sins.
Need nobody 'cause we know where we fit in.
My favorite band I'll be seeing them for the third time this summer at warped just so everyone knows they are amazing live you will not be disappointed one bit. Hoping to finally get to meet them as well, along with I see stars

Wait , Tyler left them ??? I mean im kinda sad cuz that was a huge part of their sound but idk man I think A he was pouring his personality a bit too much into the music B his voice wasn't that great
Miss this band so much.
I love this band.

yeah they blew me away
Cos it's all pre-recorded, no doubt.
Still have yet to hear a bad song from this band! Fantastic cannot wait for the new album next year!
This song is so memorable for me. Bit of a story time but: Issues and other bands like them helped me so much through my depression. I didn't know anyone else who listed to Issues, until I was in hospital. I was in a psych ward for 15 days, and I heard this song playing out loud from another guys portable speaker who had also been admitted due to suicidality. I remember shyly saying, "Is this issues? I love them!" Of course I knew they were issues. But the biggest smile came over his face and he said, "Thankyou for existing". We bonded over this awesome music and talked. It was something I will never forget. I said that I loved this song and he played it again for me. I always think of him, wonder if he's doing well now!
i watched it because i like skateboarding...
and then i just realized that the music is catchy... COOOOOLLLL!!!

Metalcore, not Nu Metal

You gotta admit, it is very nu metal influenced tho.
If Issues does not release new material soon, I will have an aneurysm.

***** close enough
They released a new song today, called Stingray Affliction. It's kinda nice, sounds a lot like their old stuff
This song is timeless. 2013. Now 2019 and still sounds current.
Great song. This video was produced and directed incredibly well. It seriously captures all of the feeling from the song so well.
I love this song. It just has ... everything.
2023 still one of the best in my playlist!
There were such good days and everything now is just so complicated and fucked up. Getting harder to live and more things to stress out about. This reminded me so much of my hot summers, hanging out with my friends and having no worries. I miss these days so much. Song brings. me back in time every single time.
Couldnt have said it better. Constantly coming back to those times here too
Metalcore/nu metal mixed with funk, R&B, and a little jazz too. Issues were so unique
Haven't heard this song since 2013 and it still gives me chills
Yo this band is amazing live. Saw them yesterday at Warped Tour in West Palm Beach. They played last, but they were definitely worth the wait. They closed warped with this song.
Issues has never released a bad song. Literally. All of them are pretty great.
Hooligans forever
People cry too much. If you dont like the music dont comment. Nobody asked you to watch the video or add your 2 cents. I listen to a wide range of metal and i think they are pretty talented and open minded. And they put on a good live show. Actually better then some of the heavier bands i've seen.
Yeah, you're can't express your opinion if you disagree with marc lipps
Hypocrisy is strong with this one.
I remember hearing King of Amarillo on the way to school one day back in 2012. Think it was 10th grade. Loved them ever since
God this is still one of Michael’s best performances I swear to god. Really wish he had used more of that middle-low ranger stuff in Issues 😭
I just wanna let these guys know that there saving life’s with there inspirational music such an impact love these guys ❤
the song that got me into Issues. Still a banger pushing boundaries song. Aside from all the drama, Issue's music is a template of diversity of taste can poured into Metal music.
These comments are cancerous.
Just enjoy the damn music. If you don't, you have no reason to be here anyways.
I agree. :D
Exactly! It's so annoying. I know what you mean, I saw your comment on that Johnny guy's comment. >.
arent we free to comment our impressions on the song ? i think we are yes.
Éli Gagné-Beck Sure!
But it's pointless. Especially if you do it like most people do and just blatantly insult the song and properly leave, riling up fans for no reason.
Éli Gagné-Beck We are, but why the hell are you even wasting your time doing that? don't like it? then leave. not that fucking hard.
This song is gold.
the composition!! amazing
I'm a deathcore guy. This shit is amazing. The people that are saying that this is not metal are just fucking elitists that comment negative things on any song that isn't in their preferred genre. No one likes an elitist.
This is not metal. This is emo
I don't consider this metal because it has too many different elements, that's just my opinion but I don't think this song is bad I actually think it's pretty good. And tbh I don't really care what genre this actually is it's not important just my opinion.
This will forever be one of my favorite songs.
This will forever be their best song.
Just hung with this band last week. They're all so nice!
This song is timeless 👏
What's up with all the haters? This band is revolutionary
mikster1550 You first
+Twisted Tales I like the song a lot but I know people are hating mainly because of the synth noises and chopped vocals
Xenia That's what makes it AWESOOOME
these people are gods. well demi gods
+Twisted Tales No, this band can't do anything original so instead of doing something original, they do something stupid. Mixing autotuned pop song with electro and death metal (which is already shitty) is a really bad idea
I freaking love this band!!!!! This song is amazing!!!!
