Here's an idea: Netflix loves to do live-action versions of anime, but what if you guys reversed that and drew anime versions of live-action tv shows? (i.e. The Office in the style of Naruto, Friends as Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.)
13:30 "Has the aesthetic ever been in a solid singular place in Pokémon?" Well, yes and no. To explain a bit, Game Freak does have a few rules when it comes to designs like how Nathan says they should been at least a little friend shaped (though this can get subjective), but overall they are pretty loosey-goosey. The variety and supposed evolution of the designs exists for two main reasons; 1. Game Freak has a rotating staff of designers, so every generation has different people, some new and some returning. (Source is the Iwata Asks for Black and White) 2. Evolution in the hardware let's them try out new ideas. Gen 1 Pokémon had to be designed as pixels first because of the Gameboy screen (source is the creation of Pikachu interview) and now with today's hardware, Pokémon like Falinks can really show their appeal with animations. This is why generations feel different between each other and why they will probably never actually run out of ideas.
So that's why gen 1 have some really as simplified designs. When somebody starts going on about how gen 1 was amazing and all the rest suck I kindly remind them that gen 1 included magnificent and creative designs like "pokeball", "upside down pokeball", "pile of mud" and "pile of mud but bigger"
Gen 1 also has a few complex designs and "unneeded markings". Venusaur has a pretty extravagant flower (Sugimori even said it was his least favorite to draw for how hard it is, while Gengar is his favorite for how easy it is), Magmar has a flame pattern, is wearing a choker and has spikes (though to be fair they might've been included to make the back sprite more interesting) Rhyhorn has a bunch of ridges, Lickitung has these circles on its knees and looks like its wearing a baby bib, and Kadabra has a star on its head and a weird pattern on its stomach while carrying a spoon. The designs had always had a mix of simple, complex and weird and I think that's great.
I can’t believe Julia said she can’t design characters when she creates a sentient fancy fire man who make you question your morals just minutes after

I don't care what the other suggestions are, I'm still waiting for a Nathan's dad episode!
"I know what a Dreepy is!!" like it's a common household item... Cracked me up!
"He's a prideful lion." I'm surprised nobody jumped on that one.
I gotta love it when I’m mid rewatch of an old episode and then BAM new episode! Great content y’all!
"Monferno! Use self-destruct!! The world is an illusion made of pain and suffering and we will shatter it together!!! 🥴"
"Guardian of the Ocean after Kyogre takes vacation"
*Sad Lugia Noises*
F in the chat for my boy Lugia
To be fair Kyogre did kinda steal Lugia’s job. Rayquaza stole Ho-oh’s job, but closer to space.
I like to think Lugia and Kyrogue take it in turns. The ocean is a huge place after all.
@@1Thunderfire That's fair
" Adult. Goose. Its just a hyper realistic goose."
😂😂😂😂
We need an obscure X-Men character challenge, just for the wondrous possibility of Julia drawing Mister Sinister.
“It’s gonna be a sea. Leo. “
Everyone: silence *wait what*
Karina: It’s a Lion in the Sea
Everyone: OOOOOOOOOHHHHGHHH
nobody:
Julia's pokemon: HoN hOn Hon! It eez I, Monfernaux! I mange le pain and I fight zee pokemons
It says it will fight the Pokémon every time so that you don't release it, but in reality it just sits there and questions your morals.
Here's an idea: Netflix loves to do live-action versions of anime, but what if you guys reversed that and drew anime versions of live-action tv shows? (i.e. The Office in the style of Naruto, Friends as Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.)
*”Julia is the adult of the group” as if we didn’t already know that.*
Karina just drew the angsty cousin of Singapore's national symbol (Merlion)
attempt ??: play a RANDOM NOISE and draw what you think makes that noise, please!
Same concept, but with pokemon cries would also make for a good episode.
13:30 "Has the aesthetic ever been in a solid singular place in Pokémon?"
Well, yes and no. To explain a bit, Game Freak does have a few rules when it comes to designs like how Nathan says they should been at least a little friend shaped (though this can get subjective), but overall they are pretty loosey-goosey. The variety and supposed evolution of the designs exists for two main reasons;
1. Game Freak has a rotating staff of designers, so every generation has different people, some new and some returning. (Source is the Iwata Asks for Black and White)

“What is a dragon if not a camel”
-Jacob Andrews, 2020
i need a compilation of Drawfee making Jukebox Hero references because Jacob singing "Trunks Duck Buc-ee" at 14:27 launched me into the stratosphere
The choking laughter that comes with Julia's drawing is so important to me
