Another beautiful creation from my favorite luthier and played so well. It sounds magnificent! I too feel blessed to have a guitar made by Michele Della Giustina
Thank you very much!
What an enchanting tone to that guitar, Uros! 👏
Thanks!
Oh man, sounds absolutely incredible! Looks spectacular too!:)
It does!
Congratulations! Great to hear you on a Spruce top, combined with Brazilian body this guitar sounds amazing!
It really does! Thanks a lot!
What a gorgeous sound 👏👍
Thanks!
@@UrosGuitar I forgot to ask the title of the piece you play, dear Uros?
very nice sound. and she's a beauty! I had mine made with a satin finish as well but it's starting to wear off after a couple years
wonderful guitar, but we know...the tone is in your hands!
Spruce yeah! 😊
Exactly!
The tone is dark! I love it! Like the best of both a tenor and a contralto. I bet it inspires you.
It does! Thank you!
Suena increíble!! Felicidades. Alguien sabe el nombre de esta pieza??
Have loved your playing for some time now. I noticed sheet music available for your composition 'Melancholy' but want to hear it played before purchasing it and can't find it anywhere. Where can I hear it? Thank you
Did you mic this one differently than normal? The sound is enormous, and I love it!
Not really, just the guitar is different, same ab 2x Schoeps CMC6 setup… thank you!!
Sounding really very well.
What is the type of top ?
Classical bracing ?
Lattice bracing ?
Double top ?
Tx a lot for your infos
Lattice bracing with wood only (no carbon).
@@UrosGuitar
Tx a lot.
The sound is really outstanding.
Very deep, a lot of fullness ...
Sensational! Great as your new guitar is, it still needs an amazing player to make it sound that good. Some questions: What was the piece you were playing? Your new guitar looks like it has a matt finish, is it oil finished?
Thank you so much! Yes indeed, it's just oil finish. No particular piece, I was improvising this melody.
@@UrosGuitar please publish your improvisation, it was beautiful. I love oil finishes! I have a guitar by Christopher Dean that is all oiled finished - beautiful to look at. My other guitars have an oiled neck which Is incredibly smooth
@UrosGuitar Please write up and publish. Phill and I will be first in line 🙂. I love it when a slow melody is moving and powerful!!!
Beautiful and great sounding guitar. I have a question if you don’t mind…Do you prefer the scale length of 64 compared to 65 ? Best wishes from Austria, your channel is great !!
Hi, thank you! I love both 64 and 65cm scale guitars, it doesn't make that much difference to me, but 64 may feel even more comfortable... 63 is where I'm starting to have some problems playing wrong notes etc. In terms of the width, however, I really prefer 50mm nut width to wider necks such as 51 or 52mm - this is what I can really feel a lot of difference with.
Wow, fantastic tone! How do you like spruce top?
Hey Daria, thanks! I love it! :)
@@UrosGuitar I think I saw you playing cedar tops almost exclusively, so I'm curious how do you experience the difference. Also, I just noticed you went with 640mm scale on this one, I really appreciate ergonomics of shorter scale guitars, how do you like it?
@@DariaSemikina it's super nice, I love 64cm, I've played 63cm and 65cm and this is a perfect combination of easy-to-play and still powerful/vibrant sound. Yes, my main guitar has been a 2001 cedar top, but I've always generally preferred spruce top guitars for recording, so I'm thrilled Michele built me this wonderful guitar.
@@UrosGuitar nice, I'm finding spruce top being more straightforward and expressive, this new guitar sounds simply wonderful, looking forward to more recordings on it!
@DariaSemikina exactly! Thank you very much!
This is the first time I heard of Michele Della Giustina luthier. The sound is like nothing I have ever heard before. Is it due to the studio and the recording equipment you use or it really sounds like that?
Both! I mean, the studio space sounds great and I definitely used some mixing effects (EQ, compression, reverb), but the guitar itself sounds gorgeous! Thanks so much for listening.
Sounds terrific! But what is the music that you are playing?
Just an improvisation
I just transcribed the piece, check out the link in the description :)
What is the the name of that beautiful and beautifully played tune.
Hasn't got a name yet as it was just an impro, maybe you have a suggestion on the title? :)
I just transcribed the piece, check out the link in the description :)
you should definitely transcribe your improve !!!!!
I want to know what Reverb you use? 🙏
I believe this was LX480, Seventh Heaven and Transatlantic Plate.
@@UrosGuitar Years ago it was Exponential PhoenixVerb. I see now you are mixing verbs and it shows! I love the LX480 and pair it with TC VSS4.
@@roberthunt1540 exactly! Good memory! I think PhoenixVerb was fantastic for the price back then, now there are cheaper and better alternatives out there... Really love the Seventh Heaven for most stuff, LX480 is also great if you want the vintage Lexicon sound.
Sounds very nice! Congratulations!! What piece have you played?
Not a real piece, I improvised this melody!
@@UrosGuitar Very nice , Bravo!!!
You should really write that down! Excellent piece of music!
@@patrik3883 it's available now, check out the link in the description :)
So is this the lovely piece that you are playing on 'My Gorgeous New Guitar'? please excuse my naivete if that's the case
Yes, this is it!😊
whats the width at the nut? 52 or 50?
50.
Perfect! I think 50mm is the best and most versatile size to work with for most hands. Thanks and congrats on your new gem @@UrosGuitar
@@brookeaday9423 thanks very much! :)
Who is your favorite luthier of all time? Let me know here and why.
I don't know yet, there are so many high quality luthiers... Nonetheless, Ana Espinoza, Paco Santiago Marin and Manuel Adalid are among my favourites I love the character of the basses and roundness of the trebles on their guitars, they have a very distinct and unique sound charateristic... I have had the incredible luck to buy a very special Casimiro Lozano guitar in 2006, that revealed to me a special secret, and tuned my right hand technique quite a bit.
It sings beautifully, even more after discovering its secret (for some reason the top resonates quite a bit towards the wider edges of the guitar (on either side)... Adding an armrest that does not touch the guitar top improved the character of an already excellent sounding instrument. It reverbs as if I'm playing in a cathedral even when playing in a room with the walls covered with cork, or carpet....
@@diogoferreira9039 thanks for sharing, this is great.
Play the same thing with a Cordoba 300 dollar guitar. With all the tech that you have. Be very interesting to hear the difference. Every thing you play is always inspiring.
Thanks a bunch! That's a good idea, I might do another one of those cheap guitar-expensive guitar comparison in the near future... this one is going to be hard to replicate as it's an improvisation, but I could do it with a proper piece.
@@UrosGuitar
A comparison would be interesting and fun. I have listened to hundreds of classical guitars evaluating tone and learning about it. I am not an expert. I have restored two older guitars so I was curious how their tone turned out compared to others whether cheap or expensive. I have not heard a guitar like yours. The tones are so alluring it drew me in immediately. Describing tone is difficult but the richness of the bass, midrange, and treble weren't just well balanced, they seemed to be more a part of each other. Congruous? Complimenting instead of standing apart. And the response seemed immediate even with a light touch. Even the resonance is rich and warm. Congratulations! It's a work of art. I am also curious what build design was used. Hauser? Torres?
