When I had mine I put a full Muzzy exhaust and jet kit. Such a great bike. Not just beginner bike. Plenty fast and as most sportbikes is far more capable than most riders could ever give it. Especially with sticky tires.
Great review I'm buying a 2006 rn in 2021 lol I've rode dirt bikes and some road bikes but this will be my first one. I'm 26 now, 15 years ago this was my dream bike. Finally I get what iv worked for. I was just looking at reviews about the bike this is the best iv seen
ive had alot of bikes...dont need a beginner bike...but i do want one of these...light quick for fun around town...and it can do highways ok to get me to work...cheaply
I am buying a 2009 here in 2022. First bike, ive done the research and i think i am stealing this from the dude who loves cruisers for 2k bucks. I love my 500r and ive rode it twice!
Had one, Wish i had never traded it in, Cycle world said it would pull,And I quote this,12.56@103.9, Pretty sure it will spank a new Ninja 500 with no problem,And had an actual seat!
@@DawnDimension sometimes, although the zx6r is god tier so it's more just nostalgia. My sister owns my old 500 so I still see it occasionally, maybe I will ask her to let me take it for a spin.
is there any good options for an intermediate rider who wants to cruise, but also handles well, is light, and has power somewhere in between this 500, and a 600??
@@jonasbechyne Earlier in North America, EX500. Always GPZ500S in Europe. One persistent difference is that the GPZ500S usually has dual disk brakes on the front, the North American version only one disk. There are also reduced-power versions in Europe to comply with power limits for beginners and young riders. I quite like the looks (I hate the rooster tails and jagged headlamps on modern bikes.). My 1956 500cc Triumph Tiger 100 and 1982 Honda GL500I Silver Wing Interstate defined motorcycle beauty for me.
Save you 9 minutes great bike fast enough for street and cheap enough for most to buy. BULLET proof like most kawis and not just a beginner bike great bike fr street if your ego is not massive but skills are.
Awesome video wow
