Good luck with everything!
Thank you so much sola! my mocks are finishing by the end of next week and your advice is really useful and I wish I watched this earlier but it’s definitely worth implementing your advice for my real gcses! 😊Thank you so much keep up the amazing content ❤
good luck for the rest of your mocks! Hope it goes well ❤
gcses being so near stresses me out. I didn't revise for my mocks in December (i'm not lazy, theres just a LOT of context).
I'm taking 11 subjects, and I got 5 9s, 2 8s and 4 7s. I'm not trying to brag. It feels like an absolute fluke. GCSEs stress me out though and I feel like I have impostor syndrome. I don't think I'm going to do as well. The mocks next week are only in core subjects + Spanish speaking. I'm scared because I do not have the chance to do mocks for my other subjects. I'm also struggling to revise because it's just so overwhelming and I procrastinate too much. Going to watch the video now, I'm hoping its gonna help. Thankyou for making this Sola!
Good luck with the revision! I can tell from you comment that you have a fantastic mindset (even though it may not always feel like it) and that really is the main thing. Imposter syndrome is a REAL thing, and as someone who ended up with straight A*s at GCSE and A Level, I can tell you that I have felt it in every exam I have ever sat. The fact that you feel this way is actually a healthy tension (as long as it does not cause you too much stress!) which shows that you are self aware and humble. Hang tight with the process and I can assure you it will be ok in the end. Let me know if you have any specific questions or worries. Good luck! 📊
this was so helpful tbh
Can't wait to watch this especially with GCSE's coming up so soon!! Thank you so much for making these videos 💗💜😊✨

Another banger loading
you know it!!
wish i knew these tips during my gcse
Can u please do some sort of video explaining what to do in year 9 for someone trying to reach all 9s in year 11
Buy textbooks and go through the:it’s best to get all the content down first when uve done that do past papers
Honestly you are better than most people revising in Y9. You really start learning GCSE content in y10 mainly but if you want to be ahead, buy revision guides, use websites and videos like mathsgenie, Corbett maths and GCSE maths tutor for maths they have past papers and videos on every topic. For science use free science lessons videos and cognitos papers by topic to reinforce your knowledge then complete full past papers but not in time condition first. For other subjects that are more essay based like English and history you can only complete past papers and get your teacher to mark them and ask for specific feedback to improve and repeat. For English lit use flash cards to remember roughly 5 quotes for each character and theme. Other subjects with lots of content use flashcards and go over them every other day using active recall to make it stock better. Overall the best thing is to do past papers for every subject to see what you knows and what to improve on but don’t do them all as you need them nearer your GCSEs. If you want any more subject specific advice let me know I will try to help! Don’t stress out too much you have plenty of time. Just make sure you know the basics and always ask your teacher for extra support if needed! Focus on yourself first before exams just make sure you are doing your best in mocks! Good luck with revision you can do it ❤
just commenting because my queen sola told me to
hey how mmany people are in a triple science class? love you all xx
I need a serious wake up call. exams don't feel real to me and something needs to change asap. this is a biiig problem
I know a lot of students are feeling like this! My advice would be to focus on the day and try not to get too lost in the bigger picture. This is easier said than done but if you're watching videos like this on UA-cam then you're definitely on the right path. Good luck! 📊
Hii!!
This video is so helpful!
I’m so scared that I won’t be able to give my full effort during GCSEs because by just doing two weeks of mocks I was slowly starting to slow down during the second week. How can I maintain my efforts throughout the two month period?
And, I'm a pretty huge fan
Can u make a video on how to improve in maths. It would be highly appreciated
Hey @iqra, the best way to improve at Maths is going to be to do past paper questions and make sure you mark them. Then, any that you get wrong you can check how to do them in the mark scheme. This is going to be a lot of effort I know but you can make a lot of progress quickly this way! Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck! 😄
I've found pasting the specification doc into chatgpt and asking it to make flashcards for the entire specification effective
This is nothing short of genius. I'm curious - how effectively did it work?!?
my mocks just finished last week and i’m now realising i still can’t relax because my exams are so soon 😭
Ahhh the struggle is real. Depending on how you're feeling it may be good to take a few days completely off revision to let yourself decompress before the final push (this is coming from someone who got straight A*s at GCSE and A Level). Quality is more important than quantity so prioritise feeling good! Good luck 📊
O levels in 2 months! Mocks this week too, hope this vid helps! Thank you for all the tips and advice ❤
You can do it! Glad the video helped 🎉
@@SmileWithSola thank youu! ❤
Good luck with the revision! Let me know if you have any Maths revision related questions 📊
@@mygcsemaths Thank you

❤️❤️❤️
Do u do tutor for people and on what website?
Hey Sola! Not a gcse student but I'm an a level student who wants to do dentistry ; I'd really appreciate a bit of advice about work experience ; basically I've completed 2 weeks of work experience at a general practice but now I'm stressed about looking for more. At the same time my AS levels are coming up and I'm quite behind on revision. What would you advise about more work experience and would you recommended I do it before my exams or during the summer? Sorry for the long winded comment but I'd love some advice from an actual dental student who's gone through all of this!
2 weeks of work experience is a great achievement! It is so hard to find work experience these days! I would recommend to also try to volunteer in the summer holidays such as at a hospital or care home. I would recommend you do this after your exams in the holidays so that you can focus on your studies as you need to get good grades to make sure they predict you the required grades for dentistry.
@@SmileWithSola Thank you so much Sola! I've applied for volunteering at a hospital, just waiting for them to get back to me and I'm currently volunteering at a charity shop. I'll definitely be focusing on my AS levels. Also I absolutely love your videos : they are rlly motivating me through my studies especially as your advice vids about dentistry are so valuable! Thank you : please keep making videos :))
hi i have been watching your videos for a long time and they are really helpful, but I have a doubt in one of the things. what does specification tell me? is it just ALL the stuff that is gonna be on the paper or can they ask stuff that is not mentioned on the specification as well. Like do I just have to learn and understand all the stuff mentioned on the specification and that will all be the content on my paper? sorry if it does not make proper sense.
The specification has everything that could possibly come up in the exam - not to say everything will come up but it’s good to know everything so you’re prepared. They can’t ask anything that’s not on the specification
aah thank you so much@@SmileWithSola
Hey sola pls pls pls could you make a video on how to reduce UA-cam addiction pls sola I 'm stressed cause of this
I don't know what is happening but I open UA-cam to study but end up scrolling yt shorts pls pls pls pls pls help me with this
You don't know how much you are help me / us even though I don't belong to GCSE but still your tips help a lot😭😭😭😭😭
As someone who spends most of my day on UA-cam I know the struggle of this! Using a safari / chrome extension like UnTrap really helped me. Good luck! 📊
Hey Sola in got grade 5 and 6 in mocks I want to get 7 and 8 or even 9 what do you think can I get it??? Plz reply..... 🥺
You definitely can. 2 months is a lot of time to make progress! Let me know if you have any specific questions 😄
not sola but honestly if you put in the hard work you can definitely get 7's, 8's and 9's. Of course no one can say for sure what you will get as it depends how hard you work for those grades. If you wan't those higher grades complete past papers and highlight the questions you got wrong and correspond that to the topic and watch videos then complete past exam question on it until you get it. For maths in particular, practice higher grade exam topics on maths genie x
She’s so beautiful man
frr
Aww thank you!!
Would you still need your revision tools for A levels
I kept mine anyways but found that I didn’t use them because you learn most of the things again but in more detail’
Hi Sola,
I brought the First Rate Tutors but now I recognise i brought the wrong course. What should I do now? It was a lot of money I put in and now I can't really use it either. Please help!!
Email info@firstratetutors.com and I'm sure they will sort it out for you, just explain what happened and what course you want.
