For the record, the rune system is very similar to what the game Warframe uses. So anyone who is used to Warframes mod system will instantly understand the rune system in The First Descendant. That includes what happens with your descendant in order to change the symbol on a rune slot. Just wanted to share that with you.
I've got a few hundred hours in Warframe and picked up on that myself, I didn't want to mention it in this video with it being more of an overview then a critique but I'm working on a feedback video now the beta has ended that goes into similarities with other games.

i wonder how a weapon improves with that weapon proficiency feature
In the Beta it had no effect on the weapons attributes, it just seemed to increase your mastery level.
May change as launch thought

Haha! I put this video together during one of the previous Betas, That's why the HUD and a few other details looks a bit different.
