Because in parts of Latin America people often use esposo, marido etc for an official boyfriend, even if they’re not actually married and it’s probably the case here that they’re not married legally. So they’re trying to make it understandable to an English audience.

Y hasta bien le fue porque con esas cuentas que llevaba la doctora, le sobraban 25k de los 60. Más 50k que estaba pidiendo la demandante, quiere decir ella le iba deber 25k a su hermana. Y simplemente la dejaron sin casa 😂😂

I feel like the judge was gonna give her the 60,000 minus the damage to both the house and her sister's physical ailments due to the beating but the girl just tried to fight the judge on it and the judge was like..... you get nothing you learned nothing from prison.

So if she had given the girl the drugs and kicked her out she would of never begin beating up. People sometimes over step their boundaries and these type of things happen.
That something you don't know for sure. No one in the right state of mind, and with moral compass well set on the right path, will accept drug deals in there home. In our culture we say "tell me who you hang around with and I'll tell who you are". And someone who stays quiet in front of the wrong doing of their housemates is in fact an accomplish, and they won't check if you were dealing or not, just the fact that you knew is more than enough to pay for someone else's mistakes.
Its not even given if she would have never touched the drugs and left it she would still get beaten up, plus even if she woild have given ber the drugs plus kick her out they would still run a backround check they would try to look for atleast a clue and she still would have gotten beaten
