Okay, lowkey, people often mistake elo hell for what is actually just losers queue + inconsistency. As someone who played multiple games competitively at a fairly high level, this is what I kept telling people. Reason people climb the more they play is because they become a bit more consistent, and with a bit of luck end up in winners queue. People in Elo Hell just do good when in losers queue, and are inconsistent and sabotage the winners queue. Bad streak brings down mental, and you tend to do worse and yell at people around you, making them do worse as well. People tend to think they're good cuz they pop off here and there, but truth is, if they could manage to make that consistent, they'd climb regardless of teammates as the odds would always be in their favor. No longer would it be a 5 potential bad stack, it'd be at worst a 4 bad stack. If you get it, you get it. xD Anyway, best to always recognize when a losers queue comes up, and just queue a quick DM or aim train for a few min and grab some water. Reset a bit, sometimes it helps.

i've only been playing valorant for a year and noticed this. i thought valorant is punishing you for playing well. i mean after a win streak then you get in a losing streak.
Things that I notice is that, when you are playing well you would be matched with ppl that are just bad/playing bad and it makes it seems like you have to carry them especially if you are topfragging, while in reality team works matters a lot

There is one thing that bothers me the most about the current matchmaking system: And that is the fact that ranks mean nothing. MMR makes it where a Plat player could be in Ascendant elo and vice versa (let's not talk about the 5-stack system...). Games are so unbalanced, so incredibly often, I'm sure that the current matchmaking system could be infinitely better than what it is. Many games just feel like a pointless waste of time, because you're either being stomped, or you're not being challenged enough. Neither are good for players who wish to improve & rank up. Nor is it good for players who don't have an infinite amount of time to dedicate to this game.
