Great song. Love me some ABBA. A little about them if I may. They were two married couples from Sweden. The red haired girl was married to the piano player with the beard and the blonde haired girl was married to the guitarist. The name ABBA comes from the initials of their first names. Agnetha the blonde girl Bjorn the guitarist Benny the pianist Anni-Frid or Frida the red head Frida could definitely hit the high notes like Agnetha. She was trained in opera and jazz. But she also had that smokey, sultry, smooth voice
Hi, Monica! I love this song ... (Well... especially Frida❤) Agnetha🩷 is a soprano and Frida❤ is a mezzo soprano, meaning she can reach high notes just like her partner. With the presence of Agnetha, a wonderful singer, Frida shines especially in the low tones, giving great versatility and strength to the songs. Someday try 'Does your mother know' (ABBA is amazing!) See you soon, Monica✌️ Love from Chile 🇨🇱🤗😘👍
Hello , so nice to see you again reaction to ABBA singles in UK official charts "Money money money" (1976) it is a very good song in a different musical style, cabaret type, set in another era "Money money money" is the single that followed "Dancing Queen" and reached # 3 in the UK, #1 in Australia and several European countries. It is a totally different song from its predecessor "Dancing Queen" and also from its successor "Knowing me knowing you" This is the versatility of ABBA, they go from genre to genre, as well as from success to success The song lends itself very well to the brunette Frida's lower voice, the choruses are sharper in contrast (and very catchy) The instrumentation is excellent The official video is one of ABBA's best, very creative, it shows Them in fashion situations and also with their famous kimonos But a year ago ABBA premieres the new official lyric video of "Money money money" I hope to see you soon with next ABBA reactions it will be the heartbroken songs "S.O.S." (1974/75) or "Knowing me knowing you" (1976/77) My best regards to You from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South America
Actually you could look for Anni-Frid Lyngstadt live black&white video when she was someting about 21-23 yo. She sings in TV studio some jazz song "Sunny Day" or something of the kind. You will be surprised about her vocal range. Looks like she is just capable for a lower range of a very deep, velvet, sofisticated qwality that is a great benefit for her and Agnetta duet as this makes their vocal delivery much more colorfull and catchy.
Obviously there is still talent out there, the only difference is it used to be good to be different, now it is good to be the same (Corporate branding) I am not sure how creative talent can survive today much less flourish. Anyhow ABBA were the embodiment of the attitude of the 70's, if it flies, let it fly. Universal feel goodness
Frida's vocals are brilliant and dramatic and dark! Really adding to and expressing the theme of the song.
Definitely!
