If only people stopped attaching guns to every new technological advancement. We are on the cusp of the future I dreamed about as a kid. We have robots, jetpacks, portable computers that give access to the worlds knowledge and its possible we have antigravity (we at least have superconducting magnets and mercury engines) which would give us hover boards and flying cars. But now that we have this stuff its painfully obvious it will be used for violence before it will ever make lives easier. We could have a futuristic eutopia but it seems like we more likely will have a futuristic dystopia. Technology used to enslave the poor and protect the power of the wealthy.
