- In this video I will show you a very simple way to put password protection on your Mql4 software.. whether it be a script, indicator or expert.. you can use this technique to protect it.. Of course anyone with the password can then use your software so this is still only very light protection.
In my online course at learnmql4.com i show you how to make your expert code expire even if you do have the correct password..
Of course you can put settings in it to make it only work on demo accounts if you like or certain account numbers.. but this will hopefully give you enough information about how to go about it...

Hello Jim first of all I grateful from your the best toutrial and I have question from you. Do the Broker can manipulate my code to achieve the wrong result my codes? Another question is this. How can I protect my code?

I have a query, let's say we have EA and I want to limit it to one user by connecting it to a MySQL database to check if it is already used and running by any others. Is this possible ? and if possible, can you help in coding to achieve this objective.

Example if I give access to an particular account number and I can stop access any time....and that indicator should not work If I stop access ..How can we do this .can you please explain
you would have to have some sort of cloud server that you maintain that the metatrader gets authorization from each time the software is used.. this of course is way outside the scope of mql4 coding. What you are wanting to do is to remotely control the use of your software.. that's a whole other set of tools and code.

what if someone shares the password
This code only controls the way the software performs... it has not effect on the way the human performs.. hence the reason for those things mentioned at 6:39 People steal and sell passwords to bank accounts, personal information and software every day.. mql4 is not some how magically immune to this.
That is always a possibility... just like in a Netflix account... lol... you could always make the password expire if you like.. but a thief will always find a way.. i recommend the methods in this video.
