  • Our 1st version #RoboKiosk #eggsandwichrobot appeared on BBC One Television "Tomorrow's Food" episode 3
    www.bbc.co.uk/p...
Here's our 2nd version using a similar Yaskawa Motoman SDA10 Dual Arm Robot but a more compact FS100 controller to cook an Egg Sandwich. RS TECH's RoboKiosk® uses electric grippers on this industrial Robot which allows us to easily manipulate household items. The robot retrieves items from the refrigerator, loads the cooker by cracking an egg, and serves up the finished sandwich.

The robot needs to be able to recognize egg shell fragments and remove them if needed.

PS- the robot program was just suspended after it asked for $15.00 an hour after it saw a story on MSNBC

Hmmm... I've seen one move in there which was executed by a "helper" (after the egg got broken up)... is the robot unable to do this on its own?

Put some microphones and a speaker, touch and heat sensors (to check the heat of the food plus if an appliance is forgotten on) plus few cameras to spot the food and learn the surrounding area of work and there it is! you have perfect cook, just upload recipes and you are done! It will cook for you and inform you when the food is ready.

Just the beginning....there are kinks, I am sure. Eventually, it will be faster and more efficient. Don't get sick, don't ask for pay raises, don't show up late, stay late if it has to.... We are at a cross roads. If people don't have jobs, who will buy their burgers??

That would be relatively simple for a robot this advanced.

well i guess why to mimic humans...there are other ways a robot a machine can cook...the researchers in this company have to think something innovative...where is money.
