    At the risk of victim-blaming, Sarah did not look like any battered spouse I've seen in the videos of her conduct with Jorje. She seemed in control and manipulative telling him what to do and say. Quite the opposite actions of a battered spouse. She went with the wrong defence and you don't get a do-over. That what's she really wants.

    • @bloodysweetzombiegirl
      @bloodysweetzombiegirl 13 днів тому +10

      Even when claiming that defense she jumped back and forth from unintentional to it was him or her.
      No ab/us/er is going to let themselves be caught in a position for someone to get the upper hand. Anyone who has been on the other side of that knows not to do something like she did, ESPECIALLY to teach them a lesson. You don’t correct them! Someone who has been on the other side of that wouldn’t have went upstairs and went to sleep.
      IF that opportunity presented itself, they would know it was time to run and there would be no goin’ back. Gettin’ them into that position of helplessness and then laughing at them and leaving, the cops coming (therefore others seein’ them like that) would carry a pretty hefty price.
      AND THEN…
      To say that she hopes more ppl will be drawn to HER light…
      Nah!
      We are called to draw others closer to Christ, not ourselves. We want others to see Him in us.
      I hope that sinks in for her.

    • @u.synlig
      @u.synlig 14 днів тому +5

      @@mortalclown3812 There has not been any appellate ruling, yet. The trial court ruled ("Denied") on the request for a new trial on the basis of supposed errors.
      Sarah Boone will have filed a notice of intent to appeal, by now; but, it is unlikely that her appointed appellate lawyer has even completed the research for, and writing of, her actual appeal -- yet. Once the appeal has been completed and submitted to the appellate court for consideration, Sarah Boone's waiting game begins.

    Its a pretty cold heart that blames a homicide victim's mother for a reaction to photos of her dead son! I was watching and heard no disturbance. Because she went thru 9 public defenders. They ALL asked to be released from her because she was being sooooo difficult. 9 attorneys. So they finally cut her off and told her being she can't get along with anyone, then she can Represent herself. She played on the sympathy of Mr. Owens and he came forward because of his feeling that everyone deserves to be defended until they are found guilty or innocent. He tried his best and, he gave it all he could in that amount of time 40 days I believe. I think he did right by her as far as he could. But its her actions that caused all this.....9 attorneys. She rejected the "sweetheart" deal Owens was able to get for her, which had to be an uphill battle but, he got her 8yrs and she had already served 4 years. And then she'd be out. But, nooooo she rejected it, that's on her. I mean how stupid can you be....8 years rejected when you've already served 4, went to trial and got life no porole. Stupid!!!

    If this case wasn’t high profile, and IF there wasn’t the underlying doubt that this should’ve been first degree vs second degree murder (potentially allowing her to get a less deserved sentence, so they wanted to make sure they did everything possible to not allow her to have a chance at appeal) I doubt the court would’ve allowed her to go through so many lawyers to begin with, this is unheard of.
    She was literally “choosing” her lawyers by what she was doing to make them withdraw (and we’ll never know the truth about how badly she might’ve treated them or what threats she might’ve made, since they can’t say), which is not allowed by someone who can’t pay for their own lawyer.
