It’s a whole invention the two have been working on since the past month before this show took place.), and faced away from the audience, being “magnified” and “reflected back by an invisible mirror” for the audience to see. What we see behind them is supposed to be what they are seeing in front of them, but bigger to accommodate these scenes and actors inside the television.
I'm going to make a webcomic based on the musical. On the scene Mrs. Gloop says this, it's going to appear a lot of pet Dachshunds with sad looks and no tails like if Augustus eated their tails out 😅

The broadway did it way better in this case I think. Much more room to move.
