They know each other and keep a friendly contact, as far as I have heard. Aborted really likes Endstille and if you listen to their song, you might see, its a hommage. A proof for that is, that there exists no word "Endstille" in German. So it has to be inspired by the band! Endstille took the ball up and found it funny to get even with a song calles "Aborted" on their following album "Kapitulation 2013". Thats the story.
