CTR in ePSXe - Fake Crash in Adventure Mode (Code in Desc)

- Just testing how nice I could get CTR to look.
Emulated from my own disc in my laptop's CD drive. This is my own footage and my copy of the game, so no I will not help you find roms so don't ask.

-Tried allowing offscreen drawing for emulated widescreen but CTR seems to be one of those games that simply stretches itself instead or risking errors or slowdowns. Interestingly enough though some sprites/models retain their 4:3 ratio.
-Fake Crash is available in adventure mode by selecting any standard driver (I just used Crash) and forcing the game to load F.Crash in his place whenever the player cart is spawned. Essentially making it so he is permanently added to the roster, which is why you can race Crash in normal races despite taking his spot. This is done with gameshark code editing and can't be done on a normal console without the necessary tools.

If you want to permanently unlock Fake Crash for multiplayer, cup/trial use. At the main menu just hold L1+R1 and then press Circle, Down x2, Up, Circle x2, Down, Left, Right. You should get a sound confirmation upon entering it correctly.
*Yes, this works for any driver including Penta, N.Tropy and Oxide. However, Oxide is a high resource model and causes crashes in many maps when attempting to be rendered.

Will saving your file at this point keep fake crash when loading the file again without the codes active?
@Ω SmashCrafter Ω I can't actually remember. Due to the way epsxe handles codes it's a lot easier to have them enabled on the fly though so even if you had to have them active each time it'd be no extra effort on your end until you wanted to change games. I'll have to go back and see for sure though.

I've since gone back through my old files and found the original textpad of codes. The Fake Crash code featured in this video is now in the description. But the answer is no, the save reflects the character the code is replacing. Loading it without the code enabled will just load it without fake crash.

So you need to change the code to play as unlockable characters in adventure mode, I thought as much because all the characters have their own select screen, that sucks
The mask who should appear to Trash Bandicoot(AKA Fake Crash) is Aku, not Uka! He is NOT exactly an evil character!
Uka Uka also shows up when F.Crash uses invulnerability or to respawn him. I assume the reason he shows up in adventure instead of Aku Aku is because of the same reason, the devs just threw him on the evil team as far as the code/gameplay goes.
Yes, he is an evil character according to all other games besides CNK.

I tried to get an emulator on my PC to play a bit of CTR before Nitro Fueled comes out but nothing works. Every PSX emulator I try to download takes me to some survey that wants me to win an IPhone XR or some garbage.
Get ePSXe.
I recommend ePSXe. That's what I used for this video.
A skeleton trapped in a man body we’ll see I’ve tried downloading the rom and the emulator but it never downloads. It’s weird. I’ve watched multiple up to date tutorials, done everything step by step, yet still nothing. No idea what to do.
@@ShunGokuSatsu_I Can you elaborate on "never downloads"? Most emulators have their own homepage hosted somewhere. I don't see why acquisition would be the difficult part of the process. The most difficult aspect I hear about tends to be finding a BIOS file for your emulator.
A skeleton trapped in a man body I should’ve worded it better. The emulator will start to download but then it just stops. Doesn’t finish. Just quits. I’ve watched multiple videos on how to install ePSXe and they install perfectly.
