yeah, If I were to try this with the same characters they would have been wiped by one centipede. This is why I like watching and not managing anymore. after all, this was epic and fun to watch the underdogs win time after time. Best part, Luna and the others can be in the next series since they survived this one. and since you said they were off to greener pastures, that could be the name of the next series.

i think the toxic environment is doing more harm to him than anything - the cold is killing the raiders before the toxicity ever gets to, but yeah the natural cold as well as the atmosphere changers and sun hiding thing definitely does help :p mostly because human enemies (allies for that matter, like those 14 champions) apparently dont take into account the weather when they raid, maybe that's something that'll be fixed in the future if Ty is watching
@@whiskizyo2067 they actually take that into account and equip warm clothes,it's just that no clothing in the game can sustain these temperatures ,you may last longer with a thrumbofur parka and a tuque but there's still a limit to even the most insulated clothes
I think it takes that into account. If you are in the Ice sheet you just raided by mechanoids more often than not. While on temperate climates you would still be getting silly tribals trying their luck.

When you have such starting difficulty, micromanaging Is a necessity, I always find that, post 8 colonists I'm too far spread and my head is full of spaghetti and there's always some useless duplicant who can't do violence and/or a pyromaniac decided that mid raid is a great time to practice setting the world ablaze
14 champions. 100 mercenaries. FOUR battle hardened ladies. Toxic fallout, male psychic suppression, incredible mind shattering cold. Mechanoids out the wazzoo. A war for the ages. The battle of the ice shack 5502 will surely go down in this rimworlds history as a battle to be studied for generations to come.
Man I binged the whole series in two days, this was absolutely amazing and has taught me so much about the game and about perseverance, keep making these great videos and I'm sure the UA-cam algorithm will notice you soon!
These old ladies either really pissed some ancient robots off, or they're sitting right on top of an assembly line. The sheer number of mechanoids is OUTRAGEOUS and yet they persist. I salute you, old ladies.
The sad truth is that after marriage, making love with the by-then-wife will decrease to no love making or almost no love making a few years after the marriage, for most marriages. This might not be the reason why he cannot confirm nor deny, but this is the case for the vast majority of the people who are married for more than a few months.

This is most engaging, most fun Rim World series out there! OMG I'm so excited every time you post a new video. From the words at the end of the video, I kinda got an impression that you're not going to continue the Luna story - I hope that this is not the case! I really would want to see what comes next in her journey, especially, with this new gear she acquired.
I'm amazed you got as far as you did over the course of all those raids. When I saw the rockets from the pirate raid just annihilate the mechinoids, I thought that would have been game over. Thank goodness they were too dumb to try blasting them at the walls and too busy with finishing off the northern mechinoid cluster to focus on you. The base may have been lost, but at the very least, the colonists have survived, carrying with them plenty of food, some medicine, some valuable bionics, and the clothes on their backs. I can easily see the Exodus Empire taking pity on them for the loss of their home, but having immense respect for them holding out as long as they did against such overwhelming forces. My post-campaign canon is that they had a rendezvous with the Exodus Empire shortly after the evacuation and joined with them to eventually re-establish a base of operations further south along the edge of the ice sheet. In time, Luna would be assisted by a professional surgeon to implant her with the bionic spine and ultimately continue to live out her days on the ice sheet living life to the fullest, even in the face of continued adversity from the elements and from the many aggressors of the frozen wastes. _"To be discouraged is also a source of life. The important thing is to go ahead without regret."_
Best Rimworld series I've seen to date. Every episode I felt like it was just the end, but somehow Luna and the team survived. Crazy! Will be waiting for the next one!
I can't begin to describe how much I love this and how frickin good this series are, I can't believe I randomly stumbled upon the start of this series, and now im absolutely hooked. Such great story telling and amazing edits. Been on youtube since 2011 I can say I use it on a daily basis, and from every single channel I have watched, if this is not my favourite is has to atleast be in the top 3. Top notch content, can't wait for the next episode.

Out of all underrated Rimworld series I watch, this is officially the most underrated. I'm glad I binged watched it all in two days. The out of the box thinking you had to employ to survive was impressive. Changing every threat and obstacle the world throw to make it more inhospitable and turning it in to another means to survive.
I just binge-watched this whole series in two days, and I loved it. Also, you should know you are partly responsible for half of a blanket made for hospitalized children for Project Linus. Never has my crochet hook moved quite so fast. Subscribed SO hard. And since I see you have other series, I suspect you will also be partly responsible for the other half of said blanket.
I haven't played Rimworld in ages and was starting to get the itch again, so I took to the UA-cams to find a let's play so I could check out the new content. Started to watch PeteCompletes brutal desert challenge, and made it a few eps in, but kept being put to sleep by his monotone hypno-voice. After clicking off several other YTers after watching their first couple of moves, I found you and thought "Nice, someone who's good at the game...and a personality to boot!" Well, Sir, that was the most epic Rimworld playthrough I've seen. The gameplay, the editing, the commentary, the humour... just great stuff. I NEVER subscribe to gaming channels, but you earned my sub with this stellar content!
I would love to see Luna continue her journey to attempt to get into space on a different tile! Seeing the group of old ladies trying to survive has been so much fun, I don't want it to end just yet!

When the 101 landed I said it was over. When the 108 landed I said OH ITS OVER. When the mechanoids landed I laughed and thought it wasn't as painful knowing it was impossible. What I think goes under appreciated is just how good you are at the game too. Knowing exactly what the colonists can and cannot deal with makes all the difference. I hope we get the chance to see Luna rebuild but it sure looks dark. If only the "allies" could help
Amazing story telling. While it is an option, you don't see many people considering leaving their base to save the colony, they either cheese or die trying (I miyself guilty of this) and this is amazing for the narrative too. With your amazing goodwill and late game gear, it's been proven you would make it off the Rimworld one way or another so whether we see more of Luna's adventures or not. Absolutely brilliant!
Awesome series. I would never play on this difficulty, so it was great to see these raids and events my own sheltered colonist will never have to face.
Gotta say... it's good to see you again. I used to watch your stuff religiously on your old channel. Was sad when you disappeared. I got the first episode of this series recommended to me the other day and haven't stopped. It was ridiculous, it was brilliant, it was a joy. The subplots, the rivalries, the fact that only one colonist (by my count) got a proper burial. All of it. And now all I really have to say is that I look forward to the future. I saw this video when it was posted "8 minutes ago". I felt tempted to watch right away, but the nearly hour long episode made me decide this would be a special episode. So I busted out the frozen pizza, the Halloween candy and iced tea and had THE BEST TIME! Thank you. I hope your next campaign will be in a temperate forest, which is technically easy... But there are so many other challenges to it, like needing a freezer to store meals. I like the idea of the wealth independent mode, but I'm not sure if the 500% difficulty is fair to you lol. I feel like we could get more episodes out of each series if you went with maybe a 300% difficulty, and to make up for it go with Randy random instead of Cassandra. The suspense over the whole episode was insane.It amaze me to see how you somehow survive all that been happening since day 1 , the humble start killing a bear and now against all the odds against an unfair amount of raids.I love your episodes.And I hope I can see them more.I can't wait to get my pay check to give a little help and keep you seeing crushing the game!By the way I love you unique content , it gives me a sense of suspense and joy that is hard to get from the best suspense series or books.You are surely going grow more and more.And last but not least, you totally deserve it ! keep crushing it!
Gee thanks for making such entertaining Rimworld series. Since discovering Crusha, I cant watch other UA-camrs play Rimworld. They are too boring. Now when I try to watch Northern Lion or Decoherent I fall asleep. You've ruined Rimword UA-cam watching for me lol. PLEASE make more.
When the 101 landed I said it was over. When the 108 landed I said OH ITS OVER. When the mechanoids landed I laughed and thought it wasn't as painful knowing it was impossible. When those were defeated I honestly cheered out loud! Well done man. I yelled at the tv over and over calling you a mad genius!

What I think goes under appreciated is just how good you are at the game too. Knowing exactly what the colonists can and cannot deal with makes all the difference. I hope we get the chance to see Luna rebuild but it sure looks dark. If only the "allies" could help
Amazing story telling. While it is an option, you don't see many people considering leaving their base to save the colony, they either cheese or die trying (I miyself guilty of this) and this is amazing for the narrative too. With your amazing goodwill and late game gear, it's been proven you would make it off the Rimworld one way or another so whether we see more of Luna's adventures or not. Absolutely brilliant!

I used to watch your stuff religiously on your old channel. Was sad when you disappeared. I got the first episode of this series recommended to me the other day and haven't stopped. It was ridiculous, it was brilliant, it was a joy. The subplots, the rivalries, the fact that only one colonist (by my count) got a proper burial. All of it. And now all I really have to say is that I look forward to the future. Happy Halloween Xavier, well wishes to you, Christine, and Bravowulf and his family.

I saw this video when it was posted "8 minutes ago". I felt tempted to watch right away, but the nearly hour long episode made me decide this would be a special episode. So I busted out the frozen pizza, the Halloween candy and iced tea and had THE BEST TIME! Thank you. I hope your next campaign will be in a temperate forest, which is technically easy... But there are so many other challenges to it, like needing a freezer to store meals. I like the idea of the wealth independent mode, but I'm not sure if the 500% difficulty is fair to you lol. I feel like we could get more episodes out of each series if you went with maybe a 300% difficulty, and to make up for it go with Randy random instead of Cassandra.
