I still think the Strangers in the Night version is the best but, I am amazed at the different interpretations he has played over the years. Micheal S. is truly one of the greatest masters of rock guitar of all time no question about it.
It's amazing he is still walking on this earth. Thank god.....
They will never be another michael schener he is a God
Yes sir!!
MSG, UFO, MS PROJECT, SCORPIONS Í’ve been a Schenker Rock'n' fan from the mid 70's, I learned & played his songs with my brother's Tom H.,Rob M, Bobby J., Seen MSG, McCauley Schenker Group in the mid 80's, Rodulph & Michael - An attack of the mad Ax Man ( Men - Brothers) ROCK ON ROCK BOTTOM!!!
Such a GREAT guitarist with heart and soul Michael Schenker is!!!!
MICHAEL IS UNIQUE AND HE STILL ALWAYS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER !!!! ❤️🎸🔥
UNSTOPPABLE THROUGH TIME…!!!! 💪
Thank you very much for sharing this precious wonder !!!!
I agree, and I feel really blessed to have written an album with him, the Schugar Schenker. He was such a breeze to write with!!
Schenker - Philips - Murray .... a wonderfull trio
Totally agree!
The best version of Rock Bottom ive ever heard!! Brilliant Michael Schenker!!!.
Fully agree.
Schenker's solo is phenomenal here! I don't care who you throw at me today, nothing matches Schenker here! He is so musical and melodic and has the most tasteful shredding in the business!
Yes, this is so true, and it was so wonderful writing the Schugar Schenker album together!!! He was great to work with
Me too brother. Loved him since the 70s. 🤘🏼🎸 saw him play in a bar in Dallas in 84.
The longer I play guitar and listen to guitarists the higher my esteem for Michael Schenker. While having differing styles and genres of music, the guitarist I consider my favorites are Schenker, Gary Moore, Roy Buchanan, Jeff Beck, and SRV. They have technical excellence, amazing improvisation, melodic sense, and can weave intense jamming seamlessly into every song.
What a band. Not only Schenker but an amazing rhythm section in Simon Phillips and Neil Murray.
I was comparing this version to a more recent recording and honestly, whilst still great, the contemporary Rock Bottom is not a patch on this.
Drummer is just wrecking it!!!!!
@@megclifton6692 Of course he is, he's a fusion drummer
Since almost 50 years I know and love them all, Hendrix, Page, EVH, Vai, Satriani, Petrucci, and so on! But shit, only this year I realy got to know Michael Schenker. What a pitty! He is awesome, he plays so perfect and melodic and he is a great song writer! He is one of the best rock musician of all time. I hope that I can see him live in the next years.
@Stefan Flintrop
You have to go see him, I just saw him last week on May 11 in Barcelona on his Universal World Tour 2022 of his 50th Anniversary of musical career at 67 years old and he is in excellent shape and with all the renewed energy!!!! 💪
Such a GREAT guitarist with soul Michael Schenker is!!!! UNSTOPPABLE with all the renewed energy in excellent shape.
He's an all-time great and he's still kicking butt.
MICHAEL IS UNIQUE AND HE STILL ALWAYS THE BEST GUITARIST EVER !!!! ❤️🎸🔥
Check out the song ,"Polar Nights". Uli Jon Roth throws down big time. Check it out.
Sound Engineering for these live concerts are top notch in Japan. I guess that is the reason why Michael Schenker celebrates his best live performances there.
It's not because of the engineering.... it's that they are the hardest core fans of German masters. His brother with the Scorpions have their biggest following in Japan as well. Might have something to do with the Axis way back 80 years ago??? 🤔 But maybe they just know great musicians when they hear them. Maybe a little bit of both.
一番、盛り上がる曲。ロックボトム。
Where to go from here🎸🧨🎸🧨ícheal $H⚓…CRAZY!!!
When I listen to Michael Schenker play this song I immediately wish Phil Mogg was singing. When I hear new UFO playing this song I wish Michael Schenker was playing. It's like going on tour with half the Mona Lisa. I need to get over myself, huh.
😆
Schenker is just so smooth. I got to see him live a few years back. I was blown away.
One of the great images in Rock.....Michael Schenker wrapped around his Flying V.
I was at the live recorded show in Chicago, I was just a kid, and now almost 63. I've had a full life! It doesn’t get much better than this👏🍻
The greatest live guitar solo ever. Incredibly, Schenker said he wasn't happy with it. This version isn't bad either. Only saw him the once, at Bradford, around 1981. R.I.P. Paul Raymond and Pete Way.
amazing, neil murray on bass and simon phillips create the heavy pulsing basis for the band. great old ufo song ... cannot be better. this is what rock music should be about!!! thx!!!
I'm 60 years old and I have never seen anything like that guitar 🎸 solo in my life this is the kinda shit that's keeps me going I ❤ rock and roll heavy metal
The most iconic riff in all of rock n' roll!
yeah!
THE GUITAR GOD.
Schenker creates a whole other song within a song.
Amazing performance, not just by Schenker. The bass sound is awesome.
Neil Murray, who played on Whitesnake's "1987" record, has played with Black Sabbath, and a bunch of other big names.
I like how everyone else is working the crowd, Neil is just hangin' back, happy to rock out and get paid for it. ;)
The overall mix for this performance is just excellent!
ON THE EIGHTH DAY GOD CREATED MICHAEL. A TRUE MASTERPIECE FROM THE MIND OF GOD.
Nothing beats top notch rock music in my book.
Just another Schenker's masterpiece built around a guitar solo ;) amazing all-around
ON THE 8TH DAY GOD CREATED MICHAEL AND SAID IT IS DONE A GIFT TO MANKIND.
This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in rock and roll michael is a God best guitar solo ever
One of the best live performances on youtube
The great Michael Schenker brilliant
Incredible singer!
simon philips shows us how to play heavyfunk in heavy metal! to the point!
One of the most creative shredders, and a master at improvising.
❤der absolute Wahnsinn.besser geht nicht !🎉
Michael will never die.
One hell of a tune, Micheal can shred a guitar🤘🤘🤘
Simon Phillips is 1- of the best drummers of all time. He was on Judas Priests Sin After Sin record. He can play anything. There’s videos showcasing his one of a kind talent. He’s as good at his instrumentals anyone you’ve heard. Look into him. He’s done so much session work. And played for so many people!
Yea, hes got so much skill+soul, and he loves his job, I used to hear him and think, whos this guy? damn he good, "
Don't forget he played with the WHO!!
Sin after Sin was the 1st time I heard of him back in the 70s. Yes he is excellent for sure, Rock Royalty.
What an incredible band! Completely amazing, iconic musicians. But it still needs Mogg, Way, Raymond and Parker to give it real soul
This song made for Mogg''s incredible deep Voice
Гитарист века.
I've never seen such amazing guitar playing in my life 😍 😭
เทพกีตาร์ตัวจริง
Great version!
I have this same Dean MS flying V with the black and white flames.....its an incredible guitar
Although I can appreciate this version, the strangers version will never be topped.
So much can be said. Rock Bottom with a twist. Only Michael can creatively deviate from the norm and embellish classic material like this, so it stays fresh even after being played countless times, all the while still being able to please the demanding traditionalist.
I love having rock idols! We used to have sports idols but they're all scumbags. Thank God for Rock And Roll!
สะกดคนดู..เหมือนต้องมนต์! สุดยอดจริงโคตรฝีมืออีกคน! ;)
WOW THANKS
Bravo!
just the best axe, me and my good friend coopersgirl remember this so well all those years ago. i saw them do this when i was about 15 in 1975 and it changed my life.
still madly in love with ufo and schenker all these years on. he will always be the best guitarist for me. great to hear he is off the booze and looking really well again. thanks for posting so many priceless ufo and schenker vids axe.
I was sooo fortunate to see UFO with Schenker during the Strangers In the Night tour. Lights Out was the album released right at my graduation from HS so we played the hellouta it at the parties. I remember sitting around getting stoned to Force It, No Heavy Petting, Phenomenon with Steely Dan thrown in. My friends played guitar in HS so I was lucky that they listened to the best of them. Schenker is coming in Mar 2018 nearby but it's all standing. I shattered my shin bone at my knee on May the 4th be with you, so I cannot stand up for very long. SHIT!!!!!! Sometimes life IS the shits!
Este tío es un GENIO Y QUE MANERA DE TRASMITIR SENTIMIENTO
Great perfomance..
Japanese crowds are the best!!
Otra pasada de tema, y por supuesto la guitarra de Míster senker inconfundible.
I love the long and classy solo.
Fantastic
Thanks for another fabulous video - this is my all-time fave UFO track (apart from Love to Love..... and others, ha ha!) Perfect therapy for reminding me I'm still 18, over 3 decades after I was actually 18! Age is only a state of mind after all! Love to all fans, oldies and newbies x
michael schenker is my favorite guitatrist, without him UFO wasen't so big band. I knew michael schenker through Iron Maiden cover of UFO doctor doctor i started listen to them and my favorite albums are with michael schenker not with vinnie mor

Thanks Axe, have the DVD. Also seen him live a couple of years ago in the UK. Schenker is incredible and in this song you can see why he's the greatest although as a fan of both Schenker and Blackmore, I would put them both there at the top!! What do you think?! Thanks again Axe!
