Glad to hear it was insightful for you, Ryan. I mentioned it already, but I do believe you are the favorite for this. Going inside with him is likely going to be a good tactic, especially since I’ve heard his inside game has been lacking recently. Goodluck and Godspeed! Greg
Hey Ryan. Don't hook him. Baek cannot use flop press anymore since he's injured at that position and turned to toproll vs toprollers. However, against hookers, he has crazy endurance at defensive hook. I'm sure you can pronate through Baek easily, why not take that chance?
Came here from Ryan’s post about your video. Excellent content! I don’t normally follow the Asia pacific region arm wrestling, even though I live in Aus lol, but you got my sub 💪🏽
So happy hear you enjoyed the video mate! I’m glad that you got to hear a little about the Asian armwrestling scene from this video. I’m very passionate about sharing the talents from the Asia Pacific region (including Oz & Nz) to the rest of the world. Hope to make more interesting videos for you 👊
He does have a decent amount of unnecessary weight, but I think even without it, he has a bigger frame than Baek, and based on their matches with other pullers so far, I do believe Ryan is stronger. We'll have to see though, I could be wrong!
@EastsideArmWrestling The video is from 2019, but if you look at the poster a few seconds into the video, you'll see the match itself was held back in 2018.
Easy win for Ryan Bowen... I wanna see Mazahir vs Koreas number 1 .. Kyle is nowhere near mazahir ... I have a strong feeling that Mazahir can beat koreas number 1
@@EastsideArmWrestling Maybe he wanted to get down into lower weight category.. I thought school boy dismantled the korean dude easily... Stamina is always a concern for schoolboy the strength gap between them was too much korean dude was getting flash pinned initially... Korean no1 vs Mazahir might be a better match up,...
@@goodbetterbest8056 there were a few instances where the Korean dude (Ji Hyeonmin) was able to defend a little! Much better performance compared to SB Mike Ford at UAC anyway. But yeah, Mazahir vs Hyeonmin would be great!
I think Vinh Hoang Duc can beat Bowen in a super match, if you have a connection with Bowen then I think there will be many interesting things in the future
Theres something you need to know. It seems that Baek Sung-yeol's wrist has become stronger recently and his hook has weakened slightly. He easily overpowered Min Kyung with a top roll. But Baek struggled in the hook with Sae Hyun(man who won alex toproll). Meanwhile Ji Seung beat Sae Hyun with a hook too easily (with no change in expression and no sign of struggle at all). (It was just 'pulling', but Ji Seung was more exhausted.)
Wow, this is interesting to learn. Perhaps there has been some change in his training for whatever reason. This might play a big factor in the outcome of the match with Bowen. If his inside game has weakened, it might be a bad day for Baek.
@EastsideArmWrestling Well... originally, Baek's offense in Hook was not at the top level in the country. But instead, the defense was the strongest. I don't know if that's the case now, but one thing I'm sure is that he doesn't use Flop Wrist Press anymore.
Super cool vid. I learned alot.

You're gonna smash him.

Baek is very versatile
From what I’ve seen recently, I’m sure he is.
Ryan is heavy but carries a lot of fat especially in his midsection so he may be heavier but its not quality. Should be a war.

4:01 what are you even talking about? That match was way back in 2018 and Baek beat Eric.
From what I saw from the score, he lost

@EastsideArmWrestling 4:2 Baek best of 6

I think Ryan smokes Mazahir with good reffing, so I must say I do feel he's very strong at the minute, though easily manipulated in the set up.
I don’t think Ryan’s easily manipulated. He’s a smart and experienced puller. It’s just hard to fight multiple opponents at the same time.
If he beats a ~105kg Ryan Bowen, he’s SUPER high level for 85kg.
Totally! And whatever the outcome may be, I think it’s gonna be a war still. Baek’s got a real sticky spot that’s hard to pin.
I predict Ryan Bowen will win.
Yes bro, I think he will win too.
Just found your channel good stuff. I will be following now 💪🏻
Thanks so much man! Really appreciate it. I'll be doing a live commentary of this event as well so we have that to look forward to very soon!
Cant wait to see Bowen pull Chinese champ BăKé PaShì
Is he the new junior kid? Send me some videos!

Off cycle Kyle looked so skinny at WAF worlds. But Korea’s #1 might be a good fight for Mazahir. He did quite well against Schoolboy

Vinh is really good, no doubt, but I personally don’t think he’s ready for Bowen just yet. Just my opinion.
This is Baek chance to make a name for himself
I really hope he does well! He’s such a warrior on the table.
@EastsideArmWrestling does baek take sport serious?
Is baek ranked in top 20 in 85kilos?
@@jesusm2159 he does compete in arm wrestling seriously, he just recently won the 86kg and 95kg classes at the same event in Korea.
Baek is very talented
Indeed, I heard his last 2 fingers were even injured.
