Amen and Amen! Glad to hear someone publicly addressing this issue that has crept in among us, "while men slept."
Ezekiel 2:4-5 NIV
“The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says.' And whether they listen or fail to listen---for they are a rebellious people---they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
What a timely message! Thank you Lord, thank you Pr. Mark Finley. 🙏🙏
You should tell that to a Baptist that repeats over and over that the Bible is the authority and can't read 1 Corinthians 12,13,14 and get it right.
Plus, your NIV has 55,000 missing Words that is in the KJV.
If you use the NIV, the enemy has divided the sheep by a horrible NIV translation.
With tears in my eyes
I say this.... It's about time someone went on record and said this.... It pains me to see the only church I've ever known on a slippery slope. We need to hold each other accountable, we need to hold each other to the fire. This middle of the road mentality is killing God's church.
Shame on us.
@Frank Torres.....I had the very SAAAAME burden for a while UNTIL I came upon a sermon that was preached by Pastor C.D.Brooks.
He said we are not to worry but hold on to what is RIGHT. He said the Church MILITANT and the Church TRIUMPHANT are 2 different things.
He said the church TRIUMPHANT will come from the church MILITANT.
Therefore we must hold on and allow God Himself to do the separation.
To hear this, my heart was full of a deep inner peace that I have and hope to have until I finally make it home.
It is so sad to our layman's eyes BUT these things must happen until JESUS steps in
I hope this will make you feel better.....HOLD ON BROTHER and see God do the separation.
Yes... tears indeed. My uncle mentioned how he never thought he'd see an sda pastors wife doing a workshop or talk on how to apply makeup and false eyelashes. We need to look to Jesus...
@@nicolagrant5450 ..... even worse the Pastors wives are WEARING them all. They are in strong competition with the world.
Now a days you cannot tell who is a visitor from a CHURCH MEMBER.
Do we all remember the story of Lot's wife? Her heart was still in the world.......
BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE. PRAISE GOD FOR THE TRUTH THAT SHALL SET US FREE. THANK GOD PASTOR FOR HAVING THE COURAGE TO PREACH TRUTH TO POWER. GOD BLESS YOU.
Thank you, Pastor Finley! I am going through the period of my life when I am trying to get back to the SDA Church that I abandoned around 15 years ago. It's quite a challenge, to be honest. There is a lot to undo (if feasible), to stop doing, to find the power to resume doing. Not to mention the fact I have new excellent people in my life now who are nevertheless unchurched. Your insights are very helpful in reaffirming the importance of true conversion manifested through good deeds, attitude, and way of thinking and feeling. Thank God he is still speaking to me through your videos.
Never give up. You are Gods masterpiece and he is not finished.
I would like to pray with you.please feel free to reach out
That is wonderful you are wanting to return! Jesus will give you the power to "stop doing"...He might not do it instantly but if you are patient and keep looking to Him instead of your mistakes, He will make it happen. I think sometimes people give up asking Him for help because they don't see instant results and think He doesn't care but He has a reason for the timing He uses. God bless 😊
I needed to hear this. I am not part of a compromising church, but as an individual, I have confessed to God that I have had the tendency to conform when trying to witness, thinking that in that way I can reach that person, and also doing that out of fear that they will not be receptive. But I feel encouraged hearing that YES the truth alone works. God doesn't need us to help by tweaking and allowing creeping compromise. I've repented and if the way I present the truth now (by the truth alone) repels someone, than I shall just kick the dust from my feet. Just wanted to comment that, that this message is for the witnessing individual too as well as the church.
I appreciate Mark Finely. First I saw Mark Finley was when I was in my teens( I’m 55) back home in Kenya. I relocated to the USA in fall 1996 and got baptized after Net96. Many years later I attended It Is Written partnership; for two consecutive years and met mark Finley there. before he resigned as It Is Written director. I feel like I’ve known him all my life- I love to listen to him and love how he is knowledgeable with the Bible. He is very sweet and soft spoken. A a true man of God
Churches like those you describe are a waste of time. I am new to SDA and what attracts me are your teachings. I am new and 85, but I need your wisdom and understanding to learn
Hi Jean, welcome to the Adventist family and also to our channel. We’d love to hear from you how you were lead to the Adventist church. We are glad that you are attracted to our teachings. In fact, it is not our teachings meaning something that we have invented. All of our doctrines are derived from the Bible. You are welcome to email us at info@hopelives365.com anytime with any question and we will provide you biblical answers. You are also welcome to view our videos which deal with wide variety of contents like prophecy, doctrines, and practical living.
@@HL365 I watch a number SDA pastors like Mark Findley, Walter Veith, Stephan Bohr, and lately Pastor Skeete, and others. Now fascinated by Barbara O'Neill teachings on health.
Amen Pastor Mark! What a timely message to prepare people for Jesus soon return 🙏🏼
Thank you Pastor great message let’s be faithful to Christ and let’s stand with the word of Truth 🙏🏻😍

Awesome encouragement Pastor Mark!! Beautiful sabbath blessing to hear today!! ❤ God bless you
Happy Sabbat Dear Pastor .
This is the true world message.❤️
God Bless you with your all familly .
Such a 💥 pow wow message 💥 may God continue to bless you with courage to say the Biblical Truth Pr Finley 👏👏👏 thank you - praying for you 🙏
@Maurice O. Good man for speaking out, I've been trying to draw our people to that which has crept into the conference for years, and I got ********* I refuse to use words to describe the treatment I received from the Pastor and some members, But, I held Firm to the TRUTH of the Gospel in Jesus name. May God continue to lead you and Bless you, and keep you in the TRUTH. Amen.
Mary, we are very sorry for the bad treatment you have received from your church. But we are thankful to God for giving you the courage to stand for the truth. Stay humble and truthful to him. May God bless you.
Like you pastor, I too have become concerned about the direction our SDA church has been heading. I'm seeing our mainstream conference leaders not boldly preaching the Three Angel Messages nor speaking against the compromises in the church; but has embraced the ways of the beast. I pray your message is truly what you believe and willing to speak up about what you see in the SDA church regardless of the cost. Continue to give the loud cry; God's word is what we must stand on.
Thank you Pastor for the message … be different … apart even in the world … is the way to be saints … people of the Creator🙏🏻
Amen praise God Almighty
Thank you so much Pastor Mark
For amazing powerful presentation
God bless and Happy Sabbath
These types of preachings with the straight testimony will bring in also the young who have left. We have it all wrong. Christ method alone. He never held back because he knew who the foe is and the coming crisis. Jesus help us to have courage like the men of old and your pioneers. Amen!
Bless you Pr. Mark for speaking the Truth in Jesus... Holy music to my ears. To God Be The Glory... Praise the Lord 🙏❤️🤗
HI PASTOR MARK. THANKU FOR THESE WONDERFUL MESSAGES. YOU'VE INSPIRED ME GREATLY.
"Let the words of thy mouth, and the meditation of thy heart, be acceptable unto thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer." Psalms 19:14
Great message, pastor Finley! Thank you for preaching biblical truths. Many, even in our churches, are afraid of proclaiming these truths.
AMEN BROTHER!!! Thank you our Lord God and Father Jesus Christ for using Uncompromising Pastors and Churches who preach the true factual doctrine that the Bible declares to be truth! For such a time as this we have been brought into the kingdom of God.
Thank you pastor Mark Finley for such wonderful message, I was blessed. To understand more about the topic, am going to purchase the book, very interesting to have it in my book shelf, amazing things we can learn about the Word of God the Bible. God bless you pastor Finely, I love listening to your sermons. Watching Trinidad 🇹🇹
this was the most inspirational message I have heard in a very long time!!!
God be with you and your family! Thanks for your biblestudy! Christine
We have the lights, we have the coffee, BUT we also have the full gospel and a god loving vibrant evangelizing youth.... They are winning souls....
Lord Jesus help us to wake up and smell the prophetic brew. Thank you Pastor MF. May God bless and keep you in your journey and destination by choice with Him. I can't wait....This earth is NOT my home!!!
Thank you very much for this presentation. We sometimes excuse our compromise for love for a fellow sinner but you have pointed out how this is not in harmony with the Word of God. May God bless you
Thanks for watching. Glad to know that you learnt something. May God bless you as well.
Thank you for this encouraging message. God bless you 😊
Amen…this is exactly why I prefer to listen online.🙏
Hi Bonnie, while it is good to listen online, there are faithful congregations that you can join. Thanks for watching. May God bless you.
I’ve given up on find a decent bible believing church where I live, so I use you tube for what I need, like your sermons.
Tony, sorry that you weren’t able to find a suitable Bible believing church. If you’re interested we can try helping you find one. Please email us about it, our email- info@hopelives365.com When you write please let us know all the churches you’ve been to so we know not to look at that.
Thank you for speaking the truth in love. For speaking clearly on what can destroy the effectiveness of the gospel and what can promote its effectiveness to win the hearts of men and women in this world. And the amazing position the Lord has placed the Adventist Church, His prophetic moment in to help others see the beauty and life changing power of God's truth to save a dying world. God bless you brother.
no quick fixes, no shortcuts, BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP, great insight Pastor Finley.
Thank you Pastor Finley and the HopeLives365 crew for making this content possible! I personally appreciate Pastor Finley's work to bring souls to Christ. One point I would like to point out is Thom Rainer mentions in his research that the "traditional outreach program", one which people would cold call or knock on people's doors unexpectedly, has unfortunately become mostly ineffective due to our culture. We live in a culture where cold calls or showing up unannounced can be more hindering than beneficial. The traditional method has evolved with the times, though, where pastors are teaching members how to reach family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors by relationship building and personal witnessing. The churches that are failing are not doing any outreach at all and care more about their own needs then that of others. I just wanted to include this as well because I personally believe evangelism evolves with the times we live in. We must stay biblically grounded in our beliefs and our methods should not go against them. Its God and the power of His word that wins souls, not any human method we come up with.
Thanks for bringing up a good point. Yes, our evangelistic methods should be dynamic yet it must be biblical. The principles are unchanged but the methods can and should depending on various factors. While the cold call or knock on someone's door unexpectedly be ineffective in area/community, it is not so in other places. Hence, we cannot dismiss that if something doesn't work in one area or community doesn't work everywhere.
@@HL365 Thanks so much for response! I really appreciate UA-cam channels, especially from our own denomination, interacting with people in the comments. :) The point you make is very true. We need to have the Holy Spirit's guidance to know what method to use in different communities. Without God's guidance, we are more susceptible to decline than grow.
Amen! I agree it's God and the power of his word that wins souls, not human methods.🙏
It depends on what sort of growth measures one (a church denomination) puts in place when we talk about dying vs growing churches. If we measure it by attendance and membership, then that might be right. However, the Kingdom of God may not necessarily measure by those organizational measures. Then brings the question, are we building empires or God’s kingdom? I believe we’re going to be surprise when Jesus comes.
Amen to the prayer! Very interesting.. no way I am going to neglect or forget about my identity!... in '99 i was sure my identity was Baptist, when i was at a summer campus on identity...but I am sure it was the Holy Spirit who made me block my lips to give that statement ..a few months later I got baptised again, but in the (Seventh Day) Adventist Church in Milan, and I praise God about it ! Gbu pr Mark ,and thank you for standing up and for being a man of God ,of integrity ! 🙏❤🔥😇☝📖💝🎶☝💯
Wow! We'd be very happy to hear your testimony. Please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we would be glad to talk to you more about.
I go to a a mega church and we celebrate communion each week. 45 minutes of preaching. Prayer for salvation at the end of the service. I have grown since going attending 2017. We have contemporary music.
Amen, Brother Finley!
Doctrine = teachings, truths, beliefs
For many, church doctrine and Bible doctrine are sometimes at odds against each other, i.e. church teachings may not always parallel Bible teachings.
For me, I will always go with what the Bible teaches, because Bible doctrine will *always* be held with authority over anything else or what anyone may say IF what they promote contradicts the Written Word of God, Holy Writ.
Doctrine is Jesus' teaching. We can't get rid of doctrine because they're Jesus' teaching.
To me it seems like the denomination is really struggling right now.
Maybe. But such practices also aim to be relevant and trendy and confirm with the modern culture.
People are yearning for something real true and unchanging something traditional and timeless
Good way you preach with passion only thing I don’t understand is about the sabbath
We’ll be glad to answer any of your questions about the Sabbath, email us- info@hopelives365.com
Just on being saved by faith alone i suggestcreading James 2: 24..which reads as follows
24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.
Wait wait…. Have you been to Loma Linda Adventist Church lately? The biggest church we have? They serve coffee and actually have a coffee bar, and as soon as you enter, you hear loud music and see strobe lights and its like a concert in there.
It’s true. People leave churches that entertain. I did.
The Southern Baptists have fallen from 16 million to 14 million. Many churches have huge numbers of inactives
Concerning myth #2 I was a church goer for 20 years and never heard of expository preaching. I'd heard countless topical sermons and rarely remembered anything about them after leaving the church doors. Yeah Myth #2 can apply to the churched as well as the unchurched now a days. I'm convinced a preacher can and does just download a topical sermon but actually has to know what he's preaching to give an expository sermon.
Many are hirelings. Isaiah and Matthew. Ebbed if not a download, they don't understand the bible. Some now teach well be sinning until Jesus comes. We can't. There must be nothing of satan in us or we'll be lost. Many don't believe in country living.... what does Matthews, Luke and EGW say though? They seem not to know. Elders also.We need to test every spirit...
it is true pastor. I met people said no need doctrine as long as we love Jesus. God bless you
My church is embracing coffee, vegetarian and vegan foods, easter egg hunts. Loud intolerable music during communion
We are leaving. We have had enough. Expository preaching holy worship thats what we want.
I’m very sorry that you are facing these challenges at your church. Please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we would be glad to connect you with a Bible based church.
There's no one way to do things. God is glorified as we each reflect his character in our own unique ways.
Sure there maybe more than one way to do things, but it should always align with Biblical principles, afterall we’re followers of Jesus Christ.
I can't disagree with you. You are correct.
I just don't think, however, that biblical principles means that every worship service would have that 1950s Midwestern tenor.
I'd like to suggest the series "Reframe Adventist Worship".
My question is, was it necessary to invite Bro. Dean Kelly from the WCC to find out what must be done to keep churches from withering away? The Bible has that answer and more!
Coffee shop, rock music concert and a TED talk --- just like they did it "back in the Bible days." The basic problem is that we have sinned against our Creator and broken fellowship with Him. The good news is that, in Christ, God Himself makes full reconciliation possible and available. The question for each of us is: Are you interested in being reconciled, no matter what it takes? And the honest answer from most people is, "well no, I guess not. Not if I have to change my lifestyle." Attracting people to a "church service" that does not address this one key point is a waste of time.
Amen. Go out in the world get off your couch and be disciples and preach the truth!
First off excuse me I do know who Mark Finley is and it’s actually quite funny how you responded to my comment.
Pastor Finleys book “The Almost Forgotten Day” is the doctrine that brought me to become an Adventist.
Care to elaborate on why you made such a comment in response to my post?
1John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Yeah Loma Linda, is sad and embarrassing to see that going on in our churches
Should we focus on growing? Is a remnant something that has grown bigger or is it something that remains?
Remnant - a part or quantity that is left after the greater part has been used, removed, or destroyed.
Good question. I'd encourage you to watch this series of presentation: ua-cam.com/play/PLILDvXAtv9JhTnlAFfsG2_JdFbzYuaQhI.html
If you have further questions, please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we would be glad to talk to you about it.
I would think, even if teaching the gospel isn’t what attracts people. It should still be the focus of sermons, for the instructing in the gospel is the point of the church.
I attend a Sunday church as opposed to the Saturday church where my membership is, it could be termed a mega church, where there’s a coffee shop in the foyer( money goes to mission) and this church has loud music and lights and smoke!! I’ll challenge Finlay or anyone else who might read this post to say anything negative about the preaching, particularly Pr Benny Ho when speaking in the 35 min preaching sermon. The SDA church I attended today, if as a stranger you’d walked in during the singing, you’d have turned around and walked out…it would put you off for ever!!!
You don’t have a mortgage on heaven just because you read from a KJBV Bible and worship on Saturday.
Amen 🙏 pray for me for Iam Fear how I should teach my three children and my fourth son is sick from this has made not to return tithe and offering because problem in my house, pray for me so that I become faithful.
Legend
“(9) For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. (10) Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!”(Num 23:9~10).
Sooooooo....... I can't have coffee and donuts with doctrine?
I pray to God to help me overcome to the coffee with cream only in the morning, otherwise I get migraines headache, I’m willing to do anything to please God, and believe that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and toxic substances shouldn’t be consume.
Stopped the coffee, but when the horrible headache arrived, I have to sip the coffee, even 3 teaspoon of the solution. I’m struggling with this .
Hi Maura, we will pray for you and please email us at info@hopelives365.com and we would be glad to help you in anyway we can.
I Love to Tell the Story 🎶🎶🎶( SDA Hymnal,#457)
Things that came out of the garden of Eden: the Sabbath, marriage and Adam spiritual leadership.
My family and I attended a mega church with a coffee shop and the loud music and bright lights. It made you feel good inside, the songs they played and prayers made you feel like you had the Holy Spirit inside of you. BUT the message was watered down. The messages and series’s were sometimes controversial to attract people and only very little scripture was used. To make matters worse, when I tested my Pastor’s teaching with the Bible, it was incorrect.
Aaron, thanks for sharing your experience. That is why Bible should be our foundation.
Oh Lord my God Jesus knows thank you for your word Father your word is the book of life in Jesus name amen
😮 What was incorrect? I test a pastor by asking him if he knows where Mt Sinai is where the Ten Commandments came from...
@@jennifertinker985 For example, the pastor did a series on end times and I was excited. Day one he explained how the church would be secretly raptured. I was intrigued by the thought of people vanishing unexpectedly. The image of cars crashing, work coming to a halt as Christians disappear into thin air seemed like a sci-fi movie. So I did what everyone SHOULD do and test everything with scripture. Not one single book, chapter or verse teaches anything remotely close to a secret rapture. But he didn’t just make this up, right? So I researched where this idea came from and it wasn’t from God or His Word.
This is all to keep people put.
More $, more $, more $....
We need to go back
to basics.
