Correction: The order guide shows Intelligent Access with Push Button Start is standard on Active and up. The first page of the order guide with the change is inaccurate.

I currently have a 2024 Ford Escape and here’s some things I noticed about this car with less than 5,000 miles on it.
-the sensor that tells you if the car is overheating goes off randomly when the car just turns on.
-the sensor that warns you if something stopped in front of you goes off randomly with nothing in front of you. Shadows or light from street lights will trigger the warning and any pressure applied to the breaks will lock the break’s immediately.
-driving assistance that keeps you in your lane will jerk the steering wheel out of your hand and I’ve nearly driven into a concrete barrier multiple times because of it. It’s so bad that I’ve had to turn it off for my safety.
    - the fuel sensor isn’t accurate and will jump around.
    - hardly any space for storage in the front of the car.
    - terrible blind spots.
    - the seat hurts my neck after ten minutes of driving and I often drive 3 or more hours a day with this thing. I often pop pain pills before a long drive.
    - connecting your car with your phone for maps and music is spotty and often connects and disconnects. Currently the car automatically starts to play what you were last playing on your phone the moment you turn the engine on.
    - you feel every bump in the road and it doesn’t do a good job canceling outside noise, especially on the highway.
    -engine stalls sometimes.
I wouldn’t recommend this car. The amount of electrical and sensor issues I’ve had with this car in such a short time concerns me. A 2008 Honda CRV with 70,000 miles drives better than this escape. I honestly don’t think new cars are made to last 10,000 miles over their warranty. This car is a lease for my company so I unfortunately can’t return it but if I owned it, I would of already returned it.

You would say...I would have already returned it. Not...I would of already returned it. Just sayin'. I'm considering buying one of these cars. Ford makes some good looking cars, but I'm afraid of the quality. I have a BMW now with 180,000 miles (2014 3-series). No problems.

On the ST Line select...Selecting Tech package 2 says 1 yr Navigation. When you Look at Audio Upgrade it says 3 yrs. So which is it?

Bummer that they got rid of that blue, it looked sharp on the 2023 Escapes.

AWD Hybrid in Active Trim would be nice. That's one place Rav4 has the advantage over Escape

No sense to by an active when the ST line is not much more. Good video.

At the 7:00 minute mark of the video it states that Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start is no longer standard equipment on the Active, ST-Line, or ST-Line Select trim levels.
However, on the Build & Price tool, Intelligent Access with Push-Button Start is shown in the Standard Interior Features for ALL of the trim levels, including the Active, ST-Line, and ST-Line Select.
    Which is correct?

The order guide is correct. Sometimes, Ford doesn't have all the correct info on the build and price.

I must correct myself. The order guide shows Interment Access with Push Button Start is standard on Active and up. The first page of the order guide with the change is inaccurate.

that's not an SUV. That is a compact coupe. I had a 2006 Ford Escape, that had a square body and real SUV truck like tires. This is NOT an SUV. Note that after the Escape, when I saw what they were calling an SUV at Ford, I bought a Jeep Wrangler Sport. Love it. Hint - if a car is LOW SLUNG, IT ISN'T an SUV. Cars that low are NOT a utility vehicle.

Did ford really just kill the escape after its recent facelift? I wonder if they’ll use the increased Lexington capacity to build more Mavericks to reduce Tim’s backlog

Ford has not confirmed the end of the Escape yet. Would be different for them to do a refresh and like they did and close it one year later.

Active decal not included but you can buy one for $425! 😮 Meanwhile every dealer puts their decal on the back whether you want it or not.
So bummed that the blue went away! I like the red but hate to pay extra for a color.
The prices also slipped up a bit here and there.

No dealer sticker if you order the vehicle & ask them not to.

Not sure what Ford is waiting for...Escape should have only 2 engine choices like Maverick....hybrid and 2.0 only. Farley said Ford would produce more hybrids....prove it.

SO now you get ford co-pilot 360 for only a year. And how much will that cost you after that year is up. so another reduction in what you get.

    • @longmcarthurford
      @longmcarthurford  11 місяців тому

Only the Navigation is a 1 year trial with a subscription required after that. It was 3 year trial last year with subscription after that. The rest of co-pilot 360 features do not require a subscription.
