I have had this album since it was first released. Agree, great track and Interesting factoid! What brings that sample to another level is his masterful FX treatment. Likewise with foundational hooks/melodies/sounds in most of his works.
Putting a bitcrusher on 22.5khz or lower and 8 bit on 100% wet would probably be more accurate i think. using the amigo sampler would probably be the most accurate
I feel better about never being able to accurately remake this sound from scratch lol. I never expected this to be a sample. It's such a great sound that I assumed he patched it himself and added the fx
Glad that UA-cam algorithm brought me here because 1: I like Aphex Twin, and 2. I am interested at these sampling music production topics :)
Brilliant work, mate!!
Wow! Very impressive tbh! It just shows the incredible musical imagination of Richard to take a snippet like that it take it somewhere else entirely
i didnt even know this was sampled, cool.

I'd say it looks good! The way you recreated reminds me of Tracklib. You should do that more.
AMAZING! Thank you!!
Hmm, maybe needs some EQ to make it sound brighter. But very interesting, I had no idea that was a sample but it makes sense.
i think the fact the track is called pulsewidth implies there was pulsewidth wave lfo used aswell
I believe the SH-101 bass used the pulsewidth in its tone which is where the name comes from
Incredible
....ever heard about Coastdream "Soft Moon"?
Music sounds familiar?
