- Doom 64 sounds in Doom 2, great for fans of the N64 shooter. =)
Update! I found a better version of the sound mod here: www.mediafire.c...
Link to the music heard here: forum.zdoom.or...
Plasma gun sounds superior, because its also from terminator 2.
and Shotgun
I thought the original sounds the best.
That's also the PS1 version sfx
Yes, you're right. I first heard them in Doom 64 though.
That's still a nice mod! I prefer the PC sound and musics because I like how cheesy it sounds but that's a good thing for darker mods and wads
:)
Yep
@@AlphaZeroX96 hmm i think it sounded like sega saturn and psone soundeffects too except personal computer that Microsoft Windows and MacOS used which is not the same as psx sound effects its different.
DOOM 64 has the best weapon sounds in the franchise. Even over DOOM 2016 imo
But the sad part is the doom 64 ssg has no reload animation so it doesn't have that nice reload sound
@@FalloutPlayer45 funny thing is I changed my mind since then. 2016 is by far the strongest Doom for weapon sounds. Except plasma rifle
@@goldheartodyssey4486 oh ok
@@FalloutPlayer45 Use Doom64ifier, it has the OG Doom SSG reload AND the Doom64 sound
The weapons sound more powerful here especially the Super Shotgun, damn thing sounds like a cannon
Yes. :)
Tell me that supershotgun reload is not satisfying
The shotgun sound from Terminator 2!
Really?
Damn the shotgun sounds most satisfying
Definitely.
@@AlphaZeroX96 even the pistol
@@YellowishRabbit Yes.
This version of running from evil sounds like megaman lol cool though
mega man 8 specifically
I always find 64 weapons sounds so good, more brutal, I don't know how to explain. The game itself was mature, musics are really dark. What is your HUD ? Love it
Sorry for being little late, the HUD is a standard alternate HUD, check the HUD options in GZDoom or any other modern source port
Honest question why do most people think Doom 64 has bad weapon sounds compared to the other games?
I don't know, but it's indeed odd.
Nostalgia I'm assuming
So, wich black gloves mod youre using?
on smooth doom the fists dont wear gloves
on the original black gloves mod deh fists dont wear gloves too.
I was using this. forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=32628
this really cool I think it has the texture of doom 64
thank you so much for this
What mod for this music? It’s my jam

SaviorAssassin1996 thank you
@@MIITRIN You're welcome. :)
Compare the doom64 sounds to the PlayStation version
Redemption shotgun
the only one of these which is worse than the doom 2 sounds is the plasma gun. that whoop is just too iconic
Well I think Doom 64's Plasma Rifle sounds are very cool.
Ps1 version doom so 🔥🔥 keep up the good work bro 👍🏿
Originally for the n64
Doom 64 came out about two years after PS1 port. Doom 64 took the sounds from the PS1 port, which is highly underrated.@@kirbysfuckingpissed9347
superior
Can i get the link to the weapon mod?
Oh heck yeah, I just finished beating Doom 64 and when I returned to the original Doom, I can't stand the old sound effects. Reminds me of an old windows pc.
Please do Classic Weapons With Brutal Doom Sounds
I'll see what I can do.
@@AlphaZeroX96 id love that as well
Okie. :3
i think is very similar with PSX DooM
Yeah.
It's the same dude
Does the music mod work with Crispy Doom?
Since Crispy is based off Chocolate Doom, it would not be possible. Sweet idea though. :)
@@AlphaZeroX96 but is the music files in the wad mp3 files? Because I can extract them and put them in my music packs folder.
@@plunger2726 I'm not sure. I could check.
@@AlphaZeroX96 if the music files are either mp3, OGG or flac, then jackpot.
@@plunger2726 I'll need a program to extract them.
What soundfont is that?
It's a music mod I used. Here is the link. forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=27979&sid=d757215ec56168b87dee83a2e2ff2a8a
kinda just the ps1 doom weapons
PSX and Doom 64 had better weapon sounds
No What The F Is This Weapon Sound? Bummer!
What?
Doom 64 was atrocious
...
How does it feel to be incredibly wrong?
it was meh, but I wouldn’t call it terrible.
