Thursday Bible Life Today Greatest Locker Room Speech 1-30-2025

John 17:6-19 Jesus is praying to the Father for His apostles, the eleven who are left after Judas Iscariot left to betray Jesus.
He is encouraging and challenging His apostles, His players in our comparison with a locker room speech. He prays for them as they will be facing opposition. He tells them that just as the world has been against Him, the world will be against them. As a team faces tough times and opposition from the opposing team and their fans, especially if the game is at the opponent's home court, so will His apostles face tough times as they encounter the world on their home court.
Like a coach reminding his team that they are prepared and they are ready, so the Lord encourages His apostles.
We want to come to the realization that we are now on the Lord's team, and we will be facing opposition from the world, but next week will see that He has prayed for us, too.
