Happy birthday 🎉 Just a thought, why don't you make the roof of Moo Moo's shelter a living roof. That way the sound of the rain smashing against the roof won't frighten her! And, yes definitely 100%, Moo Moo needs a friend! It's not right or fair on her.

Happy Birthday!!! I grew up on a farm with a dairy. The neighbors Black Angus bull would break through the fence when one of our cows was in heat. We didn't want our registered Holstein cows bred with it. Dad had a shot gun and had to pepper it to get it off our property since the neighbor wasn't keeping it home. My young Jersey heifer got bred by it while I was away at college and she died because she was young and too small for such a large calf. Broke my heart. An angry bull is dangerous. We had a young 23 year old friend who was killed by an angry bull who was going after a cow that was in heat and the young man was trying to get it away. The bull stomped him to death in a fit of rage. He was married with a young child and another one soon to be born. Very sad.

But You might want to run a strong magnet over the work area. If she eats any metal shavings as she grazes she can develop what is called "hardware poisoning". It can be fatal.

Moo moo needs at least one more cow friend.
The saying "Sweating like a pig" is an old saying. But the funny thing is that pigs cannot sweat. That's why they like to roll around in nice cool mud. It helps to cool their bodies down, keep insects from biting, and their skin from sun burning. And pigs are actually very clean animals too. If they are laying in poo, it's because their pens are too small and they can't get away from it, not because they enjoy it.
More animals mean more mouths to feed. 😂

You might want to save some of those roof panels just in case one of yours gets damaged or ripped off and blown away who knows, Jordan should be there helping you, since you did buy the cow for Sadie. Happy birthday.
Cows eat a lot… (probably more than you are currently giving her …).
It would be good to figure out some other fencing possibilities so she can be on different parts of the property at different times to have enough grass and let the sections regenerate after she has eaten.

Also, maybe MooMoo was in heat when she went to the other farm with all the male cows. If she makes a lot of mooing noises, that might be a sing. I am not sure how you can tell when she is in heat? Roger is a wonderful cat. He gets along with all the dogs...amazing!

I know it's more responsibility, and I know it's yet another mouth to feed, but I truly believe she needs a companion. She's a herd animal -- and I think it would make you ALL happier.
You should have put that gray stuff on before the panels. Now when it rains it's going to be way to loud under there and she won't go in. They don't like loud noise.

Not that you would show a litter box on camera but I hope you have that or somewhere you cat is going to the bathroom now. The bacteria in cat urine can cause respiratory infections, skin irritation, and even sepsis (blood poisoning). In addition, the ammonia in cat urine can be irritating to the lungs and eyes. Plus Your house is brand new. Happy Birthday!!!

Happy bday! That's a cool livestock shelter. Just remember that you are going to have so much water in your tanks. Saying this as we are in a dry zone right now in Canada but nature presents a variety of challenges everywhere. Question for anyone who may know pls feel free to answer. Do you have to add lightning rods to structures especially at higher elevations? I know another homestead had their solar panels hit and fried by lightning and I know i have questions. I wish you a productive week and look forward to the next video.
