Joanne always makes for a great video. Her expressions if she isn't 100% really fond of a dish just makes the video fun. I didn't think that most food looked that appealing to me. Lots of dark brown food? I have no sense of taste or smell so i look a lot at eye appealing food. But, strawberry sandwich..no thanks. Good video as always. Bless you.
She gets paid for her videos. Not a fan of her reviews.
The seafood empanadas, as well as the Grilled Fish al Mojo de Ajo @6:52 look particularly interesting to me. I would have to finish them off with the Crunchy Cake with Coffee & Chocolate @5:48 . For seconds, the Seafood Paella @8:21 looks like a winner winner seafood dinner! So glad it met with Joann's approval. Those Langostines were *monsterous!* Finnish that off with the White Chocolate & Tropical Cream Verrine @10:37, and I think you have the perfect meal 👌🏻. I could *not* pass up on the Grilled Calamari. Red Skin Potato & Mint Salad? YUMMO. Fresh Fruit Basket @14:00 - Soooooooo refreshing... I've always loved that Princess have a custom crepe station. I remember the Passion Fruit Mousse Cake @16:33 from my last Princess cruise. I totally loved it. Would never get tired of that. French Night looked on-point, but Candlelight Dinner night looks especially *comforting.* I would have to take the Baked Potatoes and the Broiled Salmon in Chablis Wine Sauce @21:26 for starters. One of those Veal fritters @ 21:31 would absolutely need to go on the side of the plate - *total MUST.* But before I dig into any of that, I'd have to run back and get a bowl of that Lobster Bisque! Then on my way back to the table, I'd have to grab another plate and scoop up a big mess of the Grilled Marinated Scallops @21:53 ! I agree with all of Joann's comments about the scallops. Coq Au Vin is soooo warm and delicious. A very soothing dish.
Mongolian Grill night is probably a great idea for most people, but on that night you'll likely find me at either Crown Grille or the MDR.
Farewell Dinner looks super great, starting with that Chicken Ballotine @29:21 . Sooooo many more dishes I didn't mention here that I would enjoy trying. That's one thing I love about cruise buffets: there is always something new and exciting to try. Also, I love how seafood-heavy Princess' buffet is. For seafood lovers like me, it's exciting. But for non-seafood people, it's not too much at all. There are still many more non-seafood offerings for those folks. For a cruise buffet, Horizon Court has got to be one of my favorites. I agree with what you said at the end, how the quality is much better in the MDR. Definitely a fair assessment. For me, having both the MDR and the buffet to enjoy for dinner offers me the excitement of being able to try flavors and dishes I've never had before. Cruising offers a culinary vacation for my tastebuds from the hum-drum day-to-day stuff I make for myself at home. I love it. Another great upload! Thank you!

Scott- you've mapped out an entire multi-course feast from our video! You & Joann have similar taste- those scallops were definitely a highlight, and that Lobster Bisque was very flavorful 😋 We're with you on the seafood- Princess was generous with it which was a pleasant surprise. Agree with you about the appeal of the buffe- because of the variety, it's about trying different dishes as much as it is about satisfying familiar cravings. Thanks for sharing your culinary cruise strategy, and thanks for watching & the detailed comment! 😊
Wow! I've never seen such a fantastically thorough comment. Excellent writing!❤
David, Loved the review of what Princess buffet has to offer. My dinner options are limited so when I see this it makes me want to cruise more often. Heck even if i eat out at a Buffet , who offers langoustine or scallops with a how every many you want attitude. Loved Joanne view of the highlighted food also!
Thanks so much Michael! 😊 It's great to hear the video is helpful, especially for folks with dietary restrictions. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety Princess offered, and some of those were premium ones!
I had kidney diet I must follow to avoid dialysis and the main dining room has alot of yummy stuff but I can't eat. However this buffet offers ALOT of the stuff I can eat and it's so wonderful the buffet is so large with lots of choices---thanks Princess as this helps us with diet restrictions have awesome selection and making a wonderful experience!!!!
I did discovery Princess 2 years ago and will be going again in 2 weeks-this trip I have gotten kidney disease where I must avoid alot of things which I think will hinder me in MDR but looking over the buffet there is alot of good stuff I am allowed to eat so the buffet will be great for those of us who have alot of dietary restrictions. Just love Princess and we think all their food is great and much better then other lines we have tried. Princess is by far the best food we think....
We really enjoyed Princess' food as well- definitely a very nice selection at the buffet. Have a great time on your Discovery Princess cruise! 🛳️🙌
I'll be on the Regal Princess in a few months. I'm tempted to run these two videos over again and list everything I want to taste! Fun! A lot would be single bites, some will be more. But my wife would shame me to no end for my piggyness. Nice review!
Thank you! 😊 Yeah a lot of good choices- would love to hear what you & your wife think about the food when you get back. Have a great cruise!
Thank you for your video- I like how you listed the names of each dish, had close up of dishes , had an index and occasionally showed you eating a few of the dishes. One question: What Princess ship were you cruising on? I am asking because the Princess ships vary some in what is available at the buffet because for example their Royal class chips like the Discovery Princess have a larger buffet selection than some of their smaller capacity class ships.
Our pleasure- thanks for the feedback! 😊 This was on the Regal Princess, a sister ship of Discovery. We were also on the Majestic a couple years ago as well. Though Discovery is newer, we'd expect many offerings to be similar, though there would be some different food based on itinerary.
The food all looked good. Lots of nice looking salads. Which Princess ship was this on and do you think its the same on all Princess ships? Thanks for this review.
Agree with you there Karen- it was good overall and every night they had at least 4 different types of salads in addition to the salad bar. This was on the Regal Princess, but should be also standard on other Princess ships, though there would be differences based on itinerary. Thanks for the comment! 😊
"Cob The On Corn" 😂 15:41
LMAO 😁 Was using OCR software on the labels and didn't catch that one.
We went to alaska On the majestic princess, the dining room and the buffets were fabulous. Loved some of the Indian cuisine and seafood entrees.
Nice- sounds like you guys had a great time! We really enjoyed the food & entertainment on the Majestic as well (it was an Asia cruise about 5 years ago).
This looks great! obviously NOT the Ruby. Which is a lovely ship the buffet is sooooo small! I want to cruise Princess again (love the medallion) but probably not on the Ruby
Yeah we like the medallion system too- very convenient. More lines should implement it. Thanks for sharing your experience from the Rudy!
Great video as always. Some vegetables and seafood paella looked good.
Thanks Susan! 😊 Yeah we liked that paella as well- they were really generous with the seafood 😋
Me encantó, I love it. 👋 desde Argentina 🇦🇷
¡Me alegra que te haya gustado! ¡Gracias por el comentario!
Delicious menu! I would try small portions of several foods.
That's the way we like to do it too! 😋
Another great video. Since I am grounded for a few more months, I am going to have to try making some of the Indian and Filipino dishes.
When I return to the Regal Princess, We would eat in the MDR for all of our dinners. However, if I was restricted to eating at the buffet ONLY, the regal Princess would be my favorite just due to the wide variety of foods to sample.
Thee cruises booked in September for now.
Thanks JL! 😊 I hope recreating the dishes brings some cruise joy to your kitchen. Princess' buffet really did impress us with the variety- sounds like you're in for a treat on your September cruises!
That looked good. I’m watching at midnight.
They had some good offerings! 😋
Viva Italia!!!
Great video folks. I think when it comes to Theme Nights Hollander America is more authentic. Princes does a great job, quality is great also. I didn’t know the dinner buffet was as nice. I don’t think the lunch buffet was that good. We never checked out the dinner buffet due to lunch.
Thanks , looking forward to more.
Thanks George! 😊 We also preferred HAL's dinner buffet, though Princess did have more selection and seafood. And that was nice of them to have a different theme for each of the 11 nights of our cruise.
Hi David and Joann! We’re on our 7-day Alaska cruise with HAL! Lots to comment on. Hopefully I’ll be able to tag you in a short video. The food on this cruise has been very very good. We’re on the Konigsdam. 👌
Hi Scott- so glad you're enjoying the food! What's been your favorite dish(es) so far? Would love to hear about your dining experiences. Have a great rest of your cruise, and can't wait to see your video! 🛳️🙌
@@TravelTouristVideos As for my favorite, I think that both the Rack of Lamb and the Beef Tenderloin tie for first place in terms of the included food. One of my cruise mates was saying he thought tenderloin was just as soft as a filet mignon. I tend to agree with that. In fact, if you had told me it was a filet mignon I would have believed you. The desserts have all been fantastic, with torts and tarts, crisps and pies. Really really wonderful. So far, my favorite included dessert was the crème brûlée. It tends to be a favorite among cruisers, but I think HAL has mastered it by making sure the top layer of sugar is thick and tough to break apart. When you have to work at getting to the custard, you know they’ve done it right.
As for the upcharge restaurant, I ate at Rudy’s and it was by far the best food experience. They have two dishes which include lobster, so I didn’t have to pay extra for those. Otherwise, a lobster tail on this ship is going to run you upwards of $20, plus gratuity, which is insane.
Yeah we really enjoyed their rack of lamb & beef tenderloin as well 😋 And glad to hear that the creme brulee you had was better than the ones from our recent HAL cruise! Rudy's sounds like a must-try. We'll have to give a go next time. Thanks for sharing Scott!
Our buffet experience on the Discovery was awful. We have a Majestic cruise booked next year. Hoping that food is better. All in all the Discovery had poor food in general. Best food, including specialty, was in the MDR. Thanks for posting.
Our pleasure! 😊 Thanks for sharing your experience from the Discovery. Agree with you 100% that the MDR is a much better option for dinner.
Great review. What ship is this. Thx
Thanks! ☺️ This was from the Regal Princess.
You deserve more subscribers
Thank you! 😊 We're really grateful for all the subs!
This looks so much better than the Emerald Princess!
This was from the Regal, so perhaps Princess has better food on the newer-ish ships.
Much bigger and nicer than Caribbean Princess as well!
Vids are 💯
Thanks! 😊
❤
Try celebrity Apex buffet.
The Apple and peach pie crusts were very doughy and not flaky at all. 😢
Does Princess have Eggs Benedict on Breakfast Buffet like Carnival does
They sure do! You can watch our Princess breakfast options video to see how it looks, + what what other food they had as well: ua-cam.com/video/6W4ZVLq0MDY/v-deo.html
👍🤠
🙏😊
Does she eat it all in one go?
what ship is this ??
Regal Princess
SALUDOS AMIGA DESDE VENEZUELA 🖐
¡Saludos! ¡Gracias por el comentario! 😊
Im getting concerned with the food presented.. im seeing, dish after dish of unappetizing mush. Im not big on desserts, i just want regular food and im not seeing it.
The piano is too loud. Adds nothing to video.
Small writing
Cannot read most of the time the name of the dish . Shame that no comment either.
Sorry stopped watching after the 8th ad.
We leave it at the default UA-cam settings, but sorry the ads were a problem! For us, making these videos do take a lot of time & effort, not to mention the costs involved, but hopefully the content is still worth watching when you have more time 🙂
Yuck
Not impressed
Interesting. Was that an across-the-board opinion - or did a few individual dishes not appeal.
