      Of all creatures of the know world, Humans are the scariest and have the most capacity to be Cruel. Although, its obvious they either have mental health issues or they were abused as children and couldnt break the cycle.

      I'd still like to hear more about legal investigation results rather than CPS case worker interview results. Kids can easily be induced to make up some horrific things that might not have actually happened. Yes, trust that something bad has happened there, and investigate, but don't start condemning the parents until a jury has seen the evidence and decided. ua-cam.com/video/vVh22znRd2Q/v-deo.html

    The story about the children broke my heart. It’s bad enough the “parents” are monsters, but it’s so saddening that the parents have made them think what is happening to them is normal. I hope CPS doesn’t fail the children and they get proper medical and psychiatric help.

    none of the screaming people on either side seem to really care about the flag or the flag code. The flag is just another divisive political tool at this point. Most people don't remember, but Tomi Lahren's first viral video was her rant on Colin Kaepernick's protest. She literally made her entire career off of weaponizing the flag and "patriotism" to attack the first amendment rights of a citizen engaging in peaceful protest.

    • @giantmess4335
      @giantmess4335 7 років тому +1

      maybe we are weaponizing the flag but so do other people when weaponizing their own ideals. when speaking their opinions, or talking about how they are above people because of religion or wealth. Everyone chooses to try to shut others up for little reason else but getting offended over the ideals of another. like with Muslims and Christians. I'm basically considered racist here for believing in GOD than their ALLA. I cant understand that. I'm considered sexist for hating a woman I cant stomach being around. not all women just a few I have had problems with personally. We as a nation of blockheads love to weaponize ideals for our own gain. funny thing is some serial murders actually think the same and we criticize them. isnt that hypocritical but many people now believe ISIS is in the right because religion and how they came to be.

      The Ace Of Spades Actually while there are a couple steps disposing of a flag does involve burning it.

    • @martabaker5052
      @martabaker5052 7 років тому +15

      Except setting it on fire is technically the proper means of disposal according to said code. Yes, I am aware that it specifically mentions a ceremony in which the stars, field of blue, and stripes are individually burned, but burning the entire thing seems more in line with flag code than throwing it away which is what I'm assuming most Americans do with flags they no longer want/need.

I see no problem with people wearing USA flag bandanas or anything else. She is not disrespecting the flag she is honouring it. Those people can GFTO. The entire House of Cards show shouldn't be cancelled because of one person. Sure, that one person was the lead actor but the previous season already set up Robin Wright to be the new lead. Just say Spacey's actor died or something and keep the show going.

    Thank you for covering the issue in Spain. I'm Catalan, and will for ever be Spanish and defend my country's unity. Catalonian region lost 35% of its GDP in 10 days due to having around 1,500 companies leaving the region due to political instability cause by the secessionists (amongst them, one of Spain's largest banks). This secessionist craziness is only bringing us chaos and dividing our society. The Catalan Government had to rule in coalition PRECISELY because pro-independence parties did NOT have a majority. Regardless, the phrase about how you can win with half the people's votes but cannot govern with half against you, is particularly true in our region. We will NEVER support a republic outside of Spain and the European Union. This is damaging our region and people to an large extent and having the ex Catalan president Puigdemont fleeing to another country right after declaring independency is a clear sign of how this will never work.

      Context is important. Everything is a label. Your name is a label. However the way liberals use the word "label" is different from how other people use the word label. In that context she's saying she doesn't agree with just lumping everyone into groups based on arbitrary things. I.E. ALL blacks, asians, indians, hispanics, arabs are all lumped into "people of color".
      Stating she's a millenial isn't a label, it's an objective statement. You're either a millenial or you're not, that isn't a "label", it's a fact.
      So that isn't an example of inconsistency. It's an example of you not knowing the difference between objective statements and labels.

      War450 Being a hyper conservative and anti-feminist who and then saying abortions should be legal. Now, they should be and they are, but saying that while ranting about "snowflakes" who want equal rights and how stupid they are is hypocrisy at it's finest.
      I don't think she has any actual beliefs, she simply says she agrees with whatever belief will get her more attention.
      She hasn't been in the news for a while so she wore an American flag and made a nonsense statement that she knew would get her attention. If anyone is a "snowflake" it's her. She wants attention for being different from other hot blonde chicks.

    • @War450
      @War450 7 років тому +10

      +Maggie Karabel
      I don't know much about Tomi but I have never heard of her ranting about people who want equal rights. It's just the left the modern western society simply never advocate for equality. They advocate for supremacy, for segregation, for hand-outs, for oppression, for degeneration, and regression. Never equality.
      So she may very well be a snowflake just looking for attention. But that doesn't automatically make her arguments invalid or wrong. Who makes an argument is irrelevant to what the argument is. Even the most vile and evil people in history, like Stalin, can be right about things.
      So what Tomi is simply doesn't matter. What she says and does matters.

    Seems like a fairly 2010s attitude:
    "This cause is so very, very important! It's in the news and everything! Oh wait, a month has passed, and I've forgotten everything about it. Carry on."
    When did political movements become trends? And can we go back?

    The thing people need to keep in mind with the ongoing issues of Spain is that this is what civil unrest that can lead to civil war looks like. To those that say "they should just let them leave" I flip that question on you "should the union have let the south leave?". As for independence both Spain and Catalonia will suffer if they separate. Their country just got out of the "Great Recession in Spain" a few years ago and separating will cause even more damage to both.
    I don't see anything wrong with Spain defending their constitution with force, we did the same in the USA. Its the same issue that happened with the Vietnam war where TV helped sway public opinion against the war since it was the 1st time the American people could see what war really looked like. People forget how brutal and destructive the civil war was, and that's without mentioning the unconstitutional things that happened during the civil war. But most people forget about the civil war because nowadays people don't want to read up on history and learn about what happened in the past.
    I personally think it would be better if both of them find a middle ground, but that hasn't really worked in the past.

      The Civil War didn't start until the Confederates attacked a Union fort. If you show me where the Union attacked people in the streets for protesting and voting for secession, you'll show me something the Union shouldn't have been doing (I wouldn't be surprised if there are examples. Protests are often met with violence in every country, even today. It's still wrong). Let them vote. Let them protest. Then tell them no. I agree with taking away their self-rule when the leadership is making moves at violating the law. I don't agree with use of force against non-violent citizens.

      CrazyRed98 it's ok if you don't see anything wrong, it just means you hate freedom and love the fascism of capital democracy. Which this is since you should believe that a true democracy wouldn't include in their Constitution obstruction of states to cecede from the union. Spain is the kids parents in the story today and Catalonia is the kids, you're saying you think it's fine to beat the child as they did and they shouldn't be allowed to be taken away from the father and stepmother. That's what you see FYI

      What's Catalonia doing that's nearly as bad slavery? I suppose one approach would have been to just go "our name is Benet and we ain't in it do whatever you like to those black people" and maybe it would have saved a lot of blood shed but I still don't think it would have been the moral approach the real question should be is the conflict is the war worth it? Writing in a dictator clause into your constitution though is pure genius why didn't our founding fathers think of that?

England, France, Sweden, the United States, Switzerland, China, India, Russia and definitely Saudi Arabia are not completely free. Go down the list. And that isn't a bad thing, I mean, do you think people want to live in a place where everyone is free to roll up and hit people without the help of the government to prosecute and protect? As for the freedoms we enjoy, do you have the right to life, liberty (in a legal equality sense), and the pursuit of happiness? More or less. We have rights that count for everyone, like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to due process, the right to assembly, vote, etc to even change the rulers. In fact, the idea of us being closer to slavery or tyranny as a lot of people like to say - is downright silly and shortsighted.

    I don't even know who Keith Olbermann is but let me explain what he was doing -> Tomi Lahren uses her strict 'patriotism' as an excuse to be as offensive and topically relevant. Olbermann is showing the obvious flaw in her logic by pointing out that she is disrespecting the American flag according to her own ideologies. That doesn't mean he has to adhere to those ideologies himself. It's like a vegan saying they don't eat animal products because it's cruel and bad for the environment, and then they go and eat products that use unsustainable palm oil (which destroys habitats of orangutans and is bringing them closer to the threat of extinction, thus both killing orangutans and causing mass de-forestation). A meat-eater could point out the flaw in that ideology because the vegan is claiming to be against something they're actually contributing to. That doesn't make the meat eater a hypocrite.

    On the flag code story I would just like to add that my grandmother has been a member of the American Legion for most of her life ( just this year she became the president of her division) and I’ve worked with her for a long time, ever since I was a child, and we’ve had calls from over 100 people just this year asking about clothing with a flag and her answer has been always been yes. It is clear that people care about the flag and want to respect it and the fact that people take the time out of their day to call just goes to show how much authority the American Legion has on this subject. I feel that since the flag code is more or less a guide and not strictly enforced that the American Legion is can be sighted as to how to wear the flag.

While there are amazing people, who would make great parents, are unable to conceive for one reason or another. Want kids so bad they will pay tens of thousands to try medical intervention, with no guarantees. We finally have our two kids after eight years of trying, and loads of medical tests. Maybe it is this experience that makes it even more frustrating me. How can anyone not overwhelmingly and unconditionally love their children, and treat them accordingly?

      I've been thinking about this for a while now. Why do we make drivers pass several tests to make sure that they know what they are doing before giving the legal right to drive, yet parents never have any tests to pass? For many occupations out there, we try to prevent accidents but we only do the same with parents when they want to adopt a child and still the US child adoption system is extremely broken because kids are essential treated like products from Amazon. The damage that a bad parent can do to a young human mind is never fully reversible. It's preventing the harm is better than letting monsters abuse their child for years.
      I think people should have to pass several aptitude tests before having kids. These tests could allow them to be aware of their own potential destructive or negative behaviors, it could make them question where it comes from and they should be encouraged to change and helped by a psychologist.
      I wish we lived in a society that encourages people to be more introspective instead of encouraging us to judge in others, the flaws we are too ashamed to acknowledge in ourselves. It could be a society where there are much more efforts dedicated to mental health issues, and everyone has a psychologist the way we have a physician today.
      But unfortunately, this could only be efficient in a small population. We are more than 7 billions, that's way to much.

    • @arbee89
      @arbee89 7 років тому

      Because childbirth is a natural reaction to a very natural, primal, and evolutionary instinct. What you're suggesting is eugenics, which is something the Nazis, Margaret Sanger, etc wanted to institute in the early 20th century. Basing it on intelligence is one thing, but it NEVER stops there. You'd have people then arguing for testing for Down's, autism, moving into things like race, sexual orientation, etc. Not to bring out the slippery slope, but this is one where that WILL happen because it already has.
      Telling someone you can't procreate is as unnatural as telling someone you can't breathe or eat or walk without being tested first.
      And to go back to your driving analogy, driving isn't a necessity nor is it natural. Procreation isn't just natural, it's an evolutionary necessity.

    regarding cataluña, why are u so one-sided? you should have watched the last demonstrations in cataluña where hundreds of thousands were out on the streets to support union with spain...
    why don't you talk about the fact that some people in this so called referendum were allowed to vote 3 times each, why don't you speak about the violence the demonstrators in the day of elections perfomed agaisnt the police in order to get a violent response from them.
    why don't you speak about the 207,000 students present in Cataluña and only 3000 participated in the protests. Why don't you speak about the fact that Cataluña has more independance than Scotland.
    Most people didn't vote because it was an ilegal referendum, where the people overseeing this referendum were in favor of the referendum, it wasn't an independent identity, and also according to several statistics the majority of Cataluña residents don't support the independence and want to remain in Spain, and it is also expected that on the elections for 21st of December, the pro-independance parties will loose their majortiy in the parlament.
