Nice job. I most especially enjoy your common sense commentary throughout these adventures. It's a treat to find someone so consistently relatable AND inspirational. Not just a likeable personality but who also regularly delivers highly useful instruction along with demonstrably worthwhile end result. At this desk the jury is still out on some of the asymmetrical stuff, nevertheless Angelina, you rock.
@@BlueprintDIY I'm crazy about symmetry ! I would do absolutely symmetrical ruffles, with equal spaces in-between the ruffles and the same width for each and every ruffle. You know what I mean. But there are some asymmetrical designes that I do like, like the one shoulder. Actually, I think the one shoulder design is the only asymmetrical design I do like. Omg ! I'm such a freak ! 😅
You are awesome absolutely awesome I can soap and not as awesome as you keep up the good work I love everything you do after all I am 74 years old going on 75 and I love what you do with clothes that's the recycling and clothes from the Goodwill keep up the good work!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love it when you hit a thrift store and you can buy items under $1, make the funds more thrift productive. No surprised, but again you did that. The process was a bit hectic for me to follow but that not saying too much. I like that this is going to have a more expensive look because of the fabric choice. I really like the look of the end project. I was feeling it when you just had the pants' plain waistband for the top and the idea of just doing it as a dress would have been cool. Glad to know that you put the dress forms in use. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
EVERY DANG VIDEO YOU JUST DO THE DANG THANG ! You’re an inspiration, and I’m honing my skills so I can do all the things you inspire me to do!! Thank you so dang much
This is ……..chiquish Boutiqish………..loooooooooooooove it. OMG………to the 1/4 day…………..now……..as I go rummaging thru what I would DEFINITELY not given a second glance to at the thrift store…….I can imagine creating some cutie patutie pieces from plain old boring pants……..🤗🤗🤗 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I would love to learn from you what criteria you use when choosing the kind of seam for connecting The different parts of a clothing item. Including the type of fabric, needle and foot for it💜💜💜
That top is the cat’s MEOW 😻!!!! You are so creative. You don’t disappoint your vision to turn an existing piece of clothing into something totally different is 🔥!
Angelina this came out gorgeous, ruffle is my jam simple because it was the first fancy sewing skill I learned when I started hand sewing before upgrading to sewing machines. I’ve been having a hunch to do a romper and this convinced me to do it.....YAAUSSSSS!!!
Can't even tell the top came from pants! Oooh how the ruffle falls right into place over the closure. So satisfying. And green is my favorite color so I'm loving this! 😍
Oh, this was really creative! I love the way the top turned out especially! The ruffles are beautiful and love how the seam ended up lining up perfectly in the center at the end. I love that you can wear this together, or as separates.
You are absolutely amazing!! So creative / original/colorful and so on….I am so impressed..with it all…I sew and love to create off book..my hat tips to you!!
I simply love what you do.. When I was MUCH thinner I would convert clothing all the time. It was much easier to do, now I'd need tooooo much fabric so have to sew 'from scratch'. But girlfriend, you inspire me. God Bless!❤🙏🏽
Thank you for showing us a piece that started without a plan and improvised based on what you found at the thrift store. I've been working with men's jackets. And, living in a warm climate (Savannah, GA) I am thinking of finishing a jacket and not putting the sleeves back in. The finished work would be more like a vest that could be worn over a t-shirt or shirt.
I'm still trying to finish something similar to what you're talking about. No sewing machine. Only hand sewing. Denim fabric. But the hard part is the measurements and making it fit the way you want it. I know I'll make it wearable, eventually. And as soon as I do I'll share it with all of you awesome people.
The green top with jeans is such a look OMG. I love this outfit. Might have to try this! (as well as last week's dress - that is next on my upcycle list, I love it so much!!) 💙🌻
I like ruffles. I remember as a teen, I had a blouse that had ruffles and just the right amount of lace. I wanted to wear it every day. One of my first thrift store finds. Since then, I drool over ruffles. So glad I can sew now, for adding pockets and ruffles to my dreary wardrobe. Not a big fan of the army green color. I would have to find a way to add another color so it doesn't make me think of tents on the battlefield. I would definitely struggle to be creative with that shade of monochrome-ness so it's inspiring how you worked it out. Gotta watch again because your end result was a bit of wizardry.
Oooohhhmmyyygolly! That is beyond fabulous! Now I won't look at a 2 piece set the same!! 😁 I just love this look. I really love how you paired the ruffle dress with jean!! 💜👩🏽🎨
Truthfully I had concerns on how this was going to turn out because of the weight and color of the fabric. But It turned out so cute and girly. I can see you wearing this on a summer afternoon/evening, at an outdoors activity. Keep it up girl! You are full of surprises!
@@BlueprintDIY We know you avoid using you're dress form because you understand most of us don't have one and, personally, I really appreciate this ! You are such an awesome person ! Well done ! Keep it up !!

The ruffles happened when I sewed the elastic to the ruffle with a zigzag stitch. I didn't do anything extra to get the ruffles.

Might be my favorite to date. You make it look so easy. Adorable!
Wow, thanks!
Ok, let me be honest. I love all your projects and you rock them all. I'm just a sucker for ruffles. I can't get enough of them.
💓
I LOVE it with the jeans!
Thanks! I wore it with cargo pants today.
The result is fantastic. Very pretty 🤩
Thanks so much!! 😁

If I were in the military or had to wear a uniform in that color I'd hate it too. 😆 And I need to start adding pockets to everything.
I like the ruffles up top!
Just watching you do your thing is gratifying for me
Thanks so much!! 😁
Nice! I just love this outfit. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail is phenomenal. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

I'm in love with it !

Angelina (quietly, while pinning on herself): this is one of the things a dress form is good for... 😂
As a dress form sits right behind her 😆
