Zed outdoors them diamond sharpeners are fantastic sharpene anything puts edge I can't get with normal stones mine broke on floor these diamond sharpeners don't break or wear out but you must clean em with washing up liquid and nail brush and water repeated process till soap is not grey no more ❤🐾👍🐺

Zed, did you film at all when you made your hook tools with Sharif? I realize that might be a conflict of interest since he teaches that but I'm going to have to make my own here in the States soon and would love to see more how it's done. Took my intro to blacksmithing course today, have a chance to get into the forge again next weekend--don't know if that's enough experience yet (today just did tapering/rat tail/hook kind of things) but I could get my lathe build done in the next couple weeks, would love to have some tools!!! : ) Cheers, thanks for all you do and for writing back! Edit: actually now I remember that Harry Rogers did one, going to watch that, but if you have footage you can post, every little bit helps! Thanks!

Hi Sharon alas no as it was such a tight schedule we were not able to film a video on the forging of the tools, hoping you have luck with forging yours and do let me know how you get on! ~Peace~

I've made some hook tools, none that small. I may have to try and do one and see how it works out. Many thanks for the video, very informative.

Excellent series! So very different than turning a bowl on a powered lathe. How many times did you sharpen while turning this bowl?

Thank you kindly, the tools were sharpened once prior to turning and then at the end, some folk sharpen once or twice dring the process too ~Peace~
