You're just like me. I double wrap my foil. The only difference is that on the 2nd wrap, i flip the wrapped ribs around and then wrap it. That way, it will cup the juices and prevent any leakage. Either way, excellent results as always!
ihave the pitboss 700FB little bigger main grate...thinking of going to rectec......ur total cooking 590 mine is 507 i never use the top grate in mine in fact took it off.... watching ur video...i might pull that trigger for the rec... or may step down to the patio legend $200.00 less
@jordanstechtalk9772 ur rec tec is like 2 inches long same width...the patio legend is about 2 inces shorter and 3 inches less in width. Soo close in size on all 3.
They were not bad! Tender. I think next time I am going to try baby backs though as I think we’d prefer a bit less fat. Also planning some no wrap ones soon as well! Thanks for watching!
Is the mixture of Parkay, brown sugar, honey, apple juice, meat seasoning, etc. used in lieu of commercial BBQ sauce? I've used Stubbs for ribs (in my oven) and I really like the flavor. So my question is, do any of things you use do anything to the actual meat or is it simply flavoring. (I assembled my 590 yesterday and did the burn-in. I'm looking for something for my first smoke).
Yeah, you could squeeze a few more in there with different arrangements and I rarely will cook anything more than two at a time, but definitely wouldn’t be bad to bump up to a larger size.
@@mikecanett6135 the pellet smokers do not get as much of a smoke flavor as you would in an offset. A few ways to help is cooking on the lowest / high smoke setting for a while in the beginning of your cook, or use a smoke tube. I haven’t tried a smoke tube yet but want to in the future. I tried the high smoke setting for a few hours on some ribs I did and it definitely had more smoke flavor. But still not like a stick burner would. Thanks for watching!
More videos on this grill please. Theres not much information about the Deck Boss out there.
Thanks

Glad the video helped. I’d highly recommend doing the 590. I personally would not want to go much smaller.
@@jordanstechtalk9772 I agree with u on that.

But how did they taste! They looked delicious. Also if that’s considered “set and forget” I’d hate to find out how it can be more hands on.

I still use a bit of barbecue sauce after they are done, but that will get a beautiful color on them and a pretty good taste as well.
Man..590 looks small..was considering getting it but looks like I have to move up to a larger model
