I remember the first time I saw Palin on TV. It only took me five seconds to frown and say, "Who IS that idiot?" She was like this little hand puppet: sweet, pretty, cuddly on the outside, and completely empty on the inside. Supporting Obama. McCain was old, so I thought at the time and we could not afford a president Palin. She couldn’t name a book, newspaper or a magazine she had read.
I think that can be said for a lot of people. McCain picked her to supplement the far-right populist vote that he couldn't have won on his own but as many of those votes as she gained him, she lost him even more of the moderate conservative vote when people saw how dumb she is and began realizing that if anything happened to McCain, we'd have to deal with President Palin

I watched that "speech" by Palin six times. Then I wrote it down and read it (or TRIED to). The phrase "a dope on dope" kept running through my mind.
I've watched Palin a couple of times in this clip & other offerings as well. I almost feel sorry for the woman. Clearly, she has some kind of mental issues & doesn't seem to know it. While I am NOT a psychiatric nurse, as an RN who has cared for patients with "issues/problems" for 40 yrs, she displays a real disconnect, or " flight of ideas" as it is called. Mind-boggling that anyone still listens to anything she has to say. Scary that she was chosen by some intelligent folks who didn't seem to notice ?????????
