    Type B- best for domestic use
    Type-C- it ok for domestic use instead of B.
    Type-D- for heavy sudden load
    Type-k- for sensitive use
    Type-Z- for very sensitive use

    Nice explanation. Why k type is not better for home? It trips at little heavy current and tripping time also not long. This will protect equipments like fridge and TV ?
    B type holds excess current for long time?

    Very informative and practical. To avoid electrical shocks I am planning upgrade to RCBO. I wanted to change my house's old ELCB+MCB mains (C40A, 100mA, 4P) to RCBO mains (C40A, 100mA, 4P, A type). While I do not have any inverters at house, have normal appliances like ACs, fridge, washing machine, TV etc. i.) Would the above RCBO specs be a correct direct replacement to currently installed ELCB+MCB, ii.) Would A type RCBO be right in my context or an AC type RCBO?

      100mA will give you a very strong shock before tripping, use 30mA

    Bro, I recently bought a 63 litre OTG which needs 2200 watt..I have had a C6 MCB & 16 amp switch...but whenever I turned it one after 1 mins MCB turned down & the OTG stopped....
    Should I change the MCB or there is a fault in the device....
    But when I plugged a different stuff like induction oven 2000 w then it is running well with no issues....

    So a C16 MCB will keep working if 16amps current drawn by a AC stabilizer (100% rated current load @ 230 volts ) runs through it day n night 24*7 ( in case of inverter AC ) & will only trip when amps exceed 10 time the rated amps (short circuit ) or voltage drops ( below 200 volts ) and AC stabilizer starts drawing more amps causing overload situation right ?
