I know this has been ages ago, but I just tapped the tom 2, then pressed voice. then pressed the arrow buttons to get around sound 220-230 i think. you'll get the cymbal sounds around there.

Yes you are correct. I wanted both cymbal pads to be crashes. So i programmed one tom as a ride cymbal.

I am using the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit here. I think I used the drum kit 25 and modified the toms to sound a bit deeper.
