Awesome review, Mr. Skullface, worth the wait :D I am pretty sure that Tetsuya Nomura is/ was an artist for Square Enix, and did the bulk of the Character designs for the Final Fantasy games, so maybe that is why the figure costs a bit more.
I know this figure is years old but not long ago i picked one up from a local comic book and toy store the tape was already opened and it cost me exactly 100 bucks and recently I tried to sell it to the same store but a different location since I paid the full 100 I was expecting at lest 50 but the guy offered me only 30 bucks I couldn’t let it go for that price specially since I paid 100 for it I get that they gotta make a profit from it but I felt like 30 bucks was to low ....it had everything even the original box and it’s in good shape none of the pieces missing they literally go for more then 100 on eBay and some even are already opened
The Play Art Kai figures in general isn't a bad line of figures to collect, because they all look pretty awesome to me. The designs for the most part is pretty well done too. But I've heard that there is some bad apples in that basket as well, and epecially with some of the earlier figures. Personally, I only have the three Assassin's Creed figure by PAK though, and they look very cool in my opinion. As for the variants, I think the Star Wars figures are the best looking ones. But as you say, they might not be for everyone, and thats the case for me. I do wish that PAK did get a license for more brands though. I'd like to see some Predators, Aliens and figures from other games, as the average PAK figure stands about 10 inches tall, which is a good scale for me. I like my figures tall and highly detailed! What impresses me with most of the PAK figures, is the layers in a lot of the figures. Price wise, these figures is for the most time within a good range for most people too. Speaking of other brands and such, I also wish that they made a plain and basic figure body for custom builders out there. I collect 1/6 scale figures, and thats a very nice scale to work within. You can get a lot of details in there, and at the same time it doesn't have to be too large scale wise. The engineering behind the PAK figures is pretty close to what you'll find in a 1/6 scale basic body, so there is a future in venturing outside of the licensed products and into the realm of custom figure building for them, in my opinion. I don't know about others, but for me, getting a proper body for a project is half the battle. Weapons, outfits and other gear can be molded, painted and all that with a little effort. Great review as always, buddy! I always appriciate your thoughts and critisism on a product!
+Lorenz Retiro Indeed. This is particularly notable because the Play Arts Kai line is produced by Square-Enix, which also produces the Final Fantasy video game series. FYI Nomura's character work began with Final Fantasy V for the Super Famicom back in 1992. Overall his most popular characters are those from Final Fantasy VII and the Kingdom Hearts series.
I don't even really care much for Catwoman or DC in general but I got her because the design looked so good and it ended up being my favorite female Play Arts Kai figure I own. Had to resculpt those heels though so she could stand on her own (without tail support).
Great video! And yes, these are exactly for me. Just the way I like it.

+giort08 hmmmm yes, quite possibly
Going to get this for my play arts ki variant cyclops. It’s a perfect match for cyberpunk vibe. Not cyberpunk 2077, that game was a shame.
Quick question, did you ever own or reviewed the Play Arts Kai Variant of the Master Chief?
+James Ramirez i did not unfortunately
