Siouxsie & The Banshees - Cities In Dust - Single Released 18/10/85 - Chart: No.21 - Directed by Tim Pope - Currently available on the DVD collection 'The Best Of (Sound & Vision)'
I'm 16 and own this on vinyl. Siouxsie & The Banshees are my absolute, without a doubt, favorite band. Not all of us are the typical teenagers you see portrayed on MTV or whatever most kids my age watch.
good for you... i didn't mean to make such a sweeping generalization. i was about 16 when i discovered 'the good stuff,' and i was very much outside the 'mtv' norm then. it does my heart good; the nation needs smart, perceptive, cool kids like you. (i say 'kids' with great respect... im 36, and still a kid myself. peace.)
They don't make them like this anymore. And that is a shame.Howmany ppl can claim to have had such a distinctive presence and influence both visual and musical in Pop culture?
I'm 13, so this music is generally frowned upon by my peers for being too complicated. Hah! And I'm a Freshman in high school, so others are having those stages in life where they want approval of others based off of music and appearance. Not me! I love Siouxsie, Bjork, Radiohead, and Mazzy Star, and I will constantly "freak out" everybody for listening to "weird mumbo jumbo"!!!
kids these days, all they know is music as thin as alumninum and singers flatter than the nefud desert. i feel sorry for them. where are the glittering visionaries? tim pope, let me kiss you good-night.
This is one of those songs that you never tire of listening too, unlike today's rubbish.
This is music that counts!!!!!She will always be the Queen!!! What a Great vocals!!! Maybe someday the rest of the world will wake up to you!!!!!
