I've listen to this song just minutes before the birth of my first child. This was in 2016. I will continue this song when I have my second child, end of January or beginning of February. Beautiful song to relate
proberbly not ,album of the year would proberly go to some terrible pop album as not many people in this world have actual taste(no offence people who like terrible pop music) i wish this was album of the year thougth
Because Aaron Marshall is a piece of work to put it simply. He pretty much fired all the other members of the band after trying to demote them to mere lackeys and not band members after firing the vocalist of this album. Worst part is he did this at the last second so none of them knew.
out all the new prog metal/modern metal bands/songs; this one is the most beautiful by far, i’ll never forget where, when, and how i was when i first heard it. one of those magical songs you wish you could experience for the first time again.
I just wanted to say that this album truly changed my life musically when it came out and I had already listened to all of the classics prior. Seriously special album and one of the greatest prog metal albums ever in my opinion and I do not say that lightly.
2 different "uncompatiple" music directions came toghether to create the most unseen unheard of banger album that has been created on the face of earth
One of my favorites out of "A Voice Within." Makes me wanna buy a 7-string. I wish there'd be more vocal albums by you guys. The vocals in this are very tasteful, the melodies are compelling and don't sound like an afterthought to an instrumental album.
Mike Semesky, the vocalist featured in this album and ex-bassist for Intervals left a while ago. He's got a new band called Raunchy and they're pretty good. Just nothing like the magnificence here.
At first I found it difficult to listen to Mike's vocals but overtime I actually started to enjoy them and realized how much it added to the music itself. Same with Spencer in Periphery, I hated his vocals. Then when I listened to Prayer Position after not listening to them forever, I absolutely was blown away - the instruments and the vocals too.
still waiting for the album... pre ordered it, but it is a long way from america to here sometimes it sucks living in germany! Can't wait for it. There are so many great releases for this spring! Recently new Periphery, new Animals as Leaders by the end of March, new Architects and still this is the record im mostly waiting for. Such a great piece!
Because sadly Aaron Marshall doesn’t want vocals in his music, it stays from his instrumental path. His melodies on guitar are vocal lines within themselves anyways.
I hate when you listen to a song and can't pick up on the lyrics but then you read them as you listen to the song and you're like "Oh THATS what they were saying!" And you feel like an idiot haha
First time ever seeing them was with periphery polyphia intervals monuments... ALL UNDER 1 ROOF in Birmingham Alabama 2013... A night Remembered !! ... Misha Jake Matt Nolly and Mark all were so kind to get a photo shot with I...they got my MAD 😡 respect 😊
Personally, as a person who listens to The Contortionist, BOO, Periphery, CoC, After the Burial, Ellipsis, Reflections, and Volumes, I can honestly say that Mike is a phenomenal addition to Intervals, do you know how fucking refreshing it is to hear something that's not generic and different? Kudos to the band for making the jump, the only time I would actually rage is when AAL get's a vocalist.
Vou escrever em português e foda-se :v Essa música é linda demais, ela te faz transcender em vários níveis, todo mundo sincronizado, guitarras, vocal, bateria... tudo em uma linha aonde a sonoridade te faz viajar e ir no embalo Bom demais
To all the ones complaining that the outro is too long, i think the outro needs to be three hours longer, at least.
+Matías De Luca The outro needs a solo.
No it doesn´t, it's perfect just the way it is.
it's a post rock outro.
Roy Munson I always am, babe.
Lucas actually wrote the outro, as opposed to the usual Aaron writing the majority of not all of the music
The outro was written by anup, most of the other parts were written by Lucas,
This song this album is sooo good. It makes me wanna cry sometimes. 5:33
I was gonna go eat dinner, started listening to one of the songs from "A Voice Within" and ended up listening to them all haha. I'm hungry.
Love it

These guys are incredible musicians. Album of the year!!!
proberbly not ,album of the year would proberly go to some terrible pop album as not many people in this world have actual taste(no offence people who like terrible pop music) i wish this was album of the year thougth
matt smith
yea PROBERLY.... >.>
matt smith I think he meant album of the year for HIM, not to the general public. But that would be cool
Agustin Torres
sorry for my cynicism
definitely my fav track from the new album !!
awesome
Agreed! despite there is not guitar solo.
Gilbert Turrent really don't understand why this piece doesn't have a solo at the end.
Gilbert Turrent Doesn't need one!
***** that end sounded reiterative and monotonous without solo.
That outro is amazing!
The outro is amazing i wish this band had a perminant vocalist their music is amzing and i dont understand how this is the only album with vocals
Me too.

3:51 on
unbelievably amazing. I don't know how an instrumental band could transition so well into being one with prominent vocals.
Well they transitioned out quite quickly. Would be nice to hear another album with vocals.
I think the signer in this song especially is incredible. Really love this shit
That's Matt, Intervals' Bassist. He really did do a good job
I know I'm late to the game here, but this song has a hold of my heart. This whole album, actually. Ok, Intervals complete discography.
So far this is the most consistently good album I've heard in a while. Loving the 3 minute epic clean passage at the end.
2 different "uncompatiple" music directions came toghether to create the most unseen unheard of banger album that has been created on the face of earth
I can't believe I haven't heard of this band until earlier this year. They catapulted themselves to the top of my list quick
Best song in the album without a doubt... The vocals add more depth and meaning... Beautiful... Congrats!
Intervals. Thank you for such amazing and deep songs. You guys have gotten me through so much in my life you can't even imagine. :/
Funny people look to music (humans) to get through difficulties in life, rather than God. These are men of God. Skip the middle man! Cheers.
Wow that post-rock style ending. Amazing!
2:02
I fucking love that riff
4:26 made me so happy :)
this song is the best fucking song i have ever heard i spent 5hr listening it on repeat A1 MAN A1
Forever INTERVALS - Atlas Hour Best of Artist *****
Can't stop listening to this. It's so good. One for the record books. Thanks for this
Excellent song, regards form Colombia :3
This music just matches my soul .. such a perfect fit just for myself it feels every bit is perfect

When the singer goes in a more calm lower register after I think its 1:15 or around there, he sounds like Avenged Sevenfolds singer.
Mike freaking nailed this song. Perfect.
My favourite so far! Absolutely gorgeous music!
Just noticed the lines around the Intervals "I" are going up and down to the beat. that's so cool!
this is fucking amazing....
Heavenly riffs
So now this is my new fav song from Intervals, after epiphany
I don't know what the sicker jam is, this or a voice within...ahh I can't decide, these dudes are great period
Semesky is doing a very good job. Melodic and powerful song. Amazing!!!!!!!!!
Can already tell this is going to be the next big band in the prog scene :P
Instantly fell in love with this! Damn its such a good song and a damn good band!
This song is amazing.
that outro is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Fuck you all, the outro is one of my favorite parts. PERFECTION.
4:26 So beautiful riffs and atmosphere =')
This production is so damn clean
Es Demasiado, Extremadamente, Fascinante...
They keep getting better!
still waiting for the album... pre ordered it, but it is a long way from america to here sometimes it sucks living in germany! Can't wait for it. There are so many great releases for this spring! From 4:21 to the end just gets to beautiful
Holy shit, he listened to me about the vibrato!! Nice one dude
Absolutely amazing. I honestly can't find the words to describe the journey this song took me on emotionally.
Brilliant!
Who was the engineer? Beautiful sound
erinxsjxriderx finally, someone who cares to acknowledge and ask about the engineer lol
+erinxsjxriderx jordan valeriote
+Fariz Pahlevi no way! Dude has come a long long way
Why is this the only intervals album with vocals??? We need all albums with vocals this is amazing
Because sadly Aaron Marshall doesn’t want vocals in his music, it stays from his instrumental path. His melodies on guitar are vocal lines within themselves anyways.
The composition is sooooo good!
Definitely the best one yet! Canne wait till monday...
this song! This album!! it's So Amazing! only 3 days more!! :D
PERFECT RHYTHM! :)
Amazing! Each new song gets me more and more excited for it to drop! Great work boys
I really hope you guys still do many instrumentals, cause i'll miss that if it goes away. But the vocals are awesome too.
I hate when you listen to a song and can't pick up on the lyrics but then you read them as you listen to the song and you're like "Oh THATS what they were saying!" And you feel like an idiot haha
After 5 years listening this album I completely understand the phonetics of this singer.
This is my favorite song in the album!
Solid.
I love song, I love Intervals
This is brilliant! Good job guys!
Intervals
Starting 2016 with this
Thanks for making music!!!
Love! A Voice Within Album ❤
Best song so far! Cannot wait!
Fav track ! This is so amazing and really beautiful harmonies (:
I forgot to say that i like the video also. It is beautiful and cool!
the best I've heard in like 2 years
The best so far, you guys are killing it!
This is amazing. Great work.
AAL just hired me to be their vocalist
I don't mind imagining AAL with some female vocals.
I'm recently discovering some of these bands. Could you please advise who BOO, CoC and AAL are?
Oh, I just realized BOO is Born of Osiris and AAL is Animals as Leaders, both of whom I already knew. xD
I'm guessing CoC is Corrosion of Conformity.
You guys made such good decisions with the direction of this album, I can't wait to see you on the 18th!
great track i think my favourite
in my opinion best song on the album
I love the outro of this song
such a beauty !
This is epic! Well done, best track yet.
The lyrics in the description are a bit off guys, just noticed
My favorite song so far!
Maybe the best chorus melody of all time.
for me the outro is just pretty good when compared with that godly intro/post chorus riff.
bring back this intervals!
i want to live in that outro.
Anyone still listening to this??!?!
September 22, 2019
Superb
Yup.
The vocals though!
Fuckin Eargasm!! And that feels passage at the end of this masterpiece, just fuckin beautiful! \m/
Sick. Love it.

Do instrumental o intervals é uma das melhores bandas com certeza .
3:50, like damn
Is that mike semesky singing? This is excellent by the way guys, really
All of these songs are good, but I find some of them hard to get in to given the lengths; I have never been one for long songs.
I'm listening this song for the 4th time in a row... is that ok?
I betcha can't play this without a string mute, sean
Rick Schneider bahah
