Me again. :) If your the tip on your Pitt Pens is fraying, you can pull it out carefully and flip it around - the other end is also a nice pointed brush tip. :)
Thank you so much for this video! It was very comprehensive and helpful. My Staedtler will be arriving tomorrow, and I can’t wait! I’ve been playing with watercolor recently, and now that I’ve gotten the basics down, I’m itching to expand to mixed media! These are gonna be a game changer.
Hi! You mentioned the tips of some Pitt pens wearing down with use. Another UA-cam channel mentioned that you can pull out the Pitt pen tips, turn them around, and re-insert the other side. He said the tips are pointed on both sides. That way you may have a fresh, new tip to use!
I'm pretty sure that the FC pen is more translucent ink while the Staedtler are opaquer? I am blown away by how much they outperform FC! Bravo. Thank you for this.
@@juliemcdonald1245 they are a LITTLE bit brighter then the FC pitt artist pens. 😀 but I haven’t got all the pens so it’s hard to see. Maybe I will do a swatch chart with the two brands combined one day if I have them all. Thank you for watching.
@@bubbleofcoloring I really enjoyed this video. You are very thorough. Thanks so much! Have you done any real-time coloring videos with the Staedtler pens yet?

@@bubbleofcoloring sweet! I'm going to check it out. I have been away from coloring for a while because I have been doing original art, but you have inspired me to return to some of my favorite books for some inner child fun! Thank you!
@@juliemcdonald1245 oh wauw your own art! I have drawn for years when I was a kid but when you grow up, you lose inspiration of the freedom to have fun. I think a coloring book is less daunting to start because there is already some artwork on the page 😀 have fun!!!
I did some coloring in other books with good quality paper and you don't have any bleed through. In this video it was some cheap copy paper. I used it in Hanna Karlzon, Tomislav Tomic, Lulu Mayo and there is no ghosting at all. Not even a little bit.
Hello, dear lady, it is a very interesting comparison and I like all your other videos too. In Germany one can buy the Staedtler open stock. Many greetings and have a nice evening😀💐

The tip to tip capability is neat, but not sure it outweighs the bleed through. Depends on the book for sure.

@@tonydejesus2134 thanks! It was my first product comparison so I appreciate your feedback. ⭐️
Nice review but you might get different results on the bleed through if you use a new pitt pen as new pens are more juicy. Good job.
@@dneel468that’s possible. Never thought about that. If you want I can test it out for you? I have a new pitt pen in my collection.

@@dneel468 I am looking forward to it as well.
The inks between the two pens are different. PITT pens are India ink. Staedler are pigment. It’s why tip-to-tip blending won’t work.
Oh, I had no idea it were two different kind of inks/pigments. Thank you for the clarification! 🙏
