Your videos are inspirational. its so cool to see that the world isn't full of robots and that there are still people out there really loving and living life to the fullest. i live i Seattle and just bought an astro so maybe ill see you on the road. coolest videos on youtube bud, keep it up!
+Into The Mystery 13 I have a Nissan vanette cargo 2.3d it has a cabinet on the right side and a bed on the left and I made it so that all the cabinet doors can open down and rest on little sliders that pull out from the bed so the full width up to the cabinet can be a double bed
I like your wire connection not sure if this is the same you are using? I like to use the heat-shrink and solder connectors, these connectors solder wire as the heatshrink heats up to seal, mostly used for exterior or hard to reach areas that you do not want to ever access again. Very strong and air tight/moisture /water proof. Expensive but well worth not having to dig for connection troubles in difficult access areas more than one time. Love your ideas on the Astro.
+Tioga Trails Thank you! Sometimes I solder, sometimes I crimp. In an area that won't get much vibration I don't mind crimping. I almost always use heat shrink though.
Good job! Anxious to see the rest of the build. What is the length and width of the passenger side bed? I'm preparing to convert my astro van also. Like the idea of the taller compartment behind the driver's seat also.
This reminds me so much of when i built mine. I actually laughed when you said you had to take the frame apart to cut it down because i had to do the same thing twice but with the vertical pieces..
What's the good vs bad of keeping the original carpet floor? Moisture? Just bought my Astro and I like the idea of not covering the floor seat attachments if possible so I can possibly put seats back into van if needed. Also, I like the original van AC and heat in the rear ceiling. Thoughts on keeping original ceiling? Thanks, great videos!
Your enthusiasm and attitude are awesome bro! It makes your vids informative AND entertaining, nice job. And great work on the van, I'm planning a build too for an indefinite road trip, thanks for all the tips and tricks.

+coastal455 Also, at night its going to be one big big rather than two tiny ones

Mount all your elec. including your spare battery under the hood. It saves a lot of space and there's loads of space.
