    ℹ️ About this episode:
    In today's episode, we embark on a journey to explore one of nature's most breathtaking wonders. But first, Pie Girl takes a detour to try out a new pie shop. Afterward, we head to Red Rocks Amphitheater, an open-air venue near Morrison, Colorado, located about ten miles southwest of Denver, known as nature's perfect music stage.
    Next, we need to find a place to stay for a few days to avoid a severe windstorm and a storm moving across the Midwest. Wind speeds reached up to 89 mph, so we want to ensure safe travels before heading back to visit our moms for Mother's Day.
    In this video, we also share a few places that might be helpful for your next trip to the same areas we visit. Make sure to watch the entire video so you don't miss these valuable tips!

    I grew up about 10 minutes from Red Rocks and had my high school graduation there. As a teen we used to go up there and just look at the city lights…It’s a magical place.

    I had to move away from Colorado for better air quality, but I’ve really enjoyed your deep dives into some of the treasures in the state I called home for 24+ years. This was a fabulous overview of aspects of Red Rocks I didn’t know about. Kudos to both of you for mailing it to the top!

      Very interesting, and here we thought Colorado probably had good air quality. Where did you end up moving to that was better?
      Glad you enjoyed it, thank you! 🧡😊🤓

      @@LivinRVision The greater Denver metro area has notoriously bad air quality, but other parts of Colorado might be cleaner. I needed more O2 also, so we headed to the lower elevations of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. Lots of beautiful places to camp around here (in my Grech Strada-Ion)!

      @LivinRVision  2 місяці тому

      Oh Denver, yeah we can see that would be likely. Mountain air should be pretty clean for sure. Hope you’re enjoying your Strada-ion! 😊🤓

    Hello Brian and Michelle!! Hello from the other side of the state!
    Whooaaa....Red Rocks is awesome!! So many iconic performances there!
    Heather and I went there twice last year; to see Sting and Duran Duran. Both were incredible! I had tickets for there on 6 June to take my wife's aunt there for her 75th Birthday to see Brit Floyd (one of the leading Pink Floyd cover bands in the world). But, my boss changed his Iowa plans by 1 day and those plans sank. But, we are going to Albuquerque at the end of June to catch the show.
    Safe travels!!

    Okay, it's all you guys fault ! I got ready to go run errands yesterday and as I stood up to leave, I said " you ready to go ". The worst part is that I was alone and talking to myself !!!

    Curiosity question, don’t own a camper but plan to someday and have always wondered when you dump, do you dump black water and gray water at the same time. Does gray water have no other function except sink and shower waste water. Thank you for the answers.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  3 місяці тому +1

      You normally dump your black tank first and then your gray tank to wash/clean out the hose as the last dump. Yes, the gray is your sink/shower waste water and then of course you have a freshwater tank for use.

      Click on the little CC box below the video to turn on subtitles. Works on nearly every UA-cam video. (FWIW, I turn them off for LRV videos b/c the audio quality is so good!)

    How do you stay slim Michelle eating all those pies? Lol We love Colorado. I’m still amazed that you still full time in the Gretch. We are in a small 17mke but don’t think I could go smaller, but vans are convenient!

      She eats the pie and gives me the calories. Lol
      The larger 24’ van like the Strada-ion that we’ve been living in helps. The shorter versions would be harder for sure.

    As a Colorado native, and someone who's performed on the Red Rocks stage, I'm completely and totally subjective… :-) You have just visited the best performance venue in the world, and you should've stopped up in Estes Park at a place called, "You Need Pie!"

    If you guys ever find yourself in the little town of Glen Rose Texas do yourself a favor and stop and try the pies at Pie Peddlers. They are the best I have ever tasted. Located right on the town square in the center of Town.

    Does the weight in the tanks really affect the fuel mileage?

    • @micaela10
      @micaela10 3 місяці тому

      Yes

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  3 місяці тому

      That’s not what we meant. We have not noticed a difference with mileage actually, the reason why we like to keep them close to empty when traveling long distance is for less weight on the tires, more of a safety reason. Probably nothing to worry about, but best to be safe anyway.

    What do you when you need to see a doctor or going in for your yearly checkup?

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  3 місяці тому +3

      We do our yearly checkups every year when we go back to Iowa to see family. While traveling, we just find an in network doctor. If something comes up urgent, we just go to urgent care. Pretty easy peasy. 👍🏻😊🤓
