Get a big buddy heater or a diesel heater! Either one works great! Anyway, nice build my friend! Cheers!

I just finished watching your videos from purchasing the trailer to this one. I must say that your are an excellent carpenter. You are very precise and thorough. I've was in construction all my life and I was pretty much a wood butcher :-) I can't wait to see it finished. Keep the good work with the mandolin too.

This takes the fun out of it to me. I think you'd be better off with a rocket stove of some sort.

Love the Video Jason!!! As a 20yr veteran of huffing propane ice fishing and camping; I'd suggest the Mr. Heater big buddy. It has a low/medium/high BTU setting; low is like yours. Plus a fan, you could hang it on the wall and have an external tank. low oxygen cutout and tip over cutout. You can heat up a space fast and turn it down!!!

P.S. always have fresh air ventilation at all times and use the carbon monoxide alarm!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, I always have the door cracked open slightly. Forgot to mention that in this video. I was considering the big buddy but this heater is only temporary while I'm building. I'm hoping to install a small marine stove when the interior is finished.

I made a simple sturdy base for my buddy heater by cutting 4 pieces of 4" wide cedar board at 18 inches long, and making a square shape for the canister to set in. Set one board up against a canister, then butt the second piece up against the first board while also touching the canister, then a third, then the fourth. Now you have a square that the canister is sitting in, and four legs sticking out like a Christmas tree stand. The canister slides in and out easily but the square is tall enough and won't tip.

Eastman mando? I am a lifelong guitarist and I am just shopping for my first mandolin! Love your channel even more now!

Awesome! Thank you! Yes, it's an Eastman. I've only been playing for a couple years and this year not so much after I hurt my shoulder last spring (any shoulder movement killed with pain). It's good to be able to get going with it again. I tried quite a few mando's before this one and this is my second. I really like the feel and sound of the Eastman, the look is really nice too. Of course you'll need to play with a few to see what sounds best for you but I would recommend at least trying one.

Lots of folks have mixed feelings about the Little Buddy heater. How about those Chinese diesel heaters than vanlifers rave about? The German versions cost 5x more but maybe better quality. Then there are the Kimberley propane boat heaters to consider. Also I've seen loads of videos using the tiny wood stoves. One popular channel features a wood stove in a wooden truck camper used year round in Alaska. I think the Little Grizzly or something like that.

Mandolin good, canned generic UA-cam music bad.
