On this final night of Chanukah 2019, it is such a pleasure to listen to this truly authentic, warm rendering of Maoz Tzur in a manner that is truly for the ages. Chag urim sameach!
Absolutely beautiful! The slow reverent acappella intonation reminds me of the devotional songs my Father (and fellow African-American deacons) sang before morning worship in the backwoods churches of the American South.
This version was so moving, and a pleasure to hear that ancient vocal style, being sung in a heartfelt, faithful manner. 🕎

Is this a distinct melody or a Sephardi style rendition of the Ashkenaz melody?
This is one tune (melody) that both Sephardim and Ashkenazim share in common. Yet another miracle.
It’s the European Maoz tour sung in a Moroccan style.
