Excellent picks Ed mate I don't know much about vectrex or PS5+Xbox newer consoles as never had them. Shinobi was the first MS game I owned and loved it great choices Ed mate 🙂👍
Some great picks Ed and the new CRT looks awesome in the background 😍 Renegade was my pick on Speccy too but that +3 larger box is on a different level Awesome Neo Geo pick, what a game SOR2 just one of the greatest games ever made I'm exactly the same with TOTK All the best mate👍
Cheers James. And thanks re: the CRT. I hadn't long rearranged things when filming this vid. It just fits on the tv unit which is a result; I think my wife may have lost her patience if I'd bought a further unit for it! I don't think I'd ever get bored of Turfmasters. So much fun and even my son has really got into it. I thought the time gap between the Zeldas may help me get into the sequel but alas no. Thanks as always, have a goodun mate.
Renegade was the first arcade game we travelled to go and play in a local chippy! great selections there Ed and virtua tennis probably one of the finest 4 player games bar none!
Wow, the owner of the chippy had some great taste :0). Thanks mate, I'll have to enrol some further friends to get to 4P Virtua Tennis haha. Catch you soon.
Yes Ed, great to see your favourites. Star Wars KOTOR is awesome, it was the first RPG I ever played. Resident Evil 2 is great and I really love the Last of us. Thanks for the shoutout 🫡
Ok Ed, so happy you got your Spectrum fixed firstly mate 👍 Renegade is mint, and probably my first proper beat em up too Ed, classic speccy game, and KOTOR is a brilliant RPG Star Wars game buddy, and some great choices there pal.
Cheers Paul, I'm delighted to have it back and fully working. Renegade still rocks my world too; instincts kicked in and on the 1st stage I was jump kicking the punks off the ledge haha. Have a goodun pal.
Cheers for watching mate! I'll have to try Renegade on another system. haha, not at all, a few others swear by their cpc464's! Growing up a friend of mine up the road had one; wish he'd had renegade tho ;0)
Really cool seeing the games that made you Ed! You had me at Shinobi. 😂 Stone cold classics on this list all around. SOR2 is the greatest beat em up of all time for sure and I grew up a Double Dragon/River City Ransom kid. I did a quick play on Inage Fight for the NeS last year. It’s such a great little shmup! Knights of the Old Republic was probably my favorite game on the OG Xbox. Great list all around dude! 🤙🏻
Cheers Josh!! And that would have been a far more awesome video title. Haha, I do love the Shinobi series but the 1st one holds a dear place in my heart; it may make a further appearance when I sort the favourite handheld games vid #spoiler ;0). I must play some Image Fight on the NES. Thoroughly enjoy it on the PCE and although it's soooo tough it's not unfair. Extremely addictive. Thanks a tonne mate; hope you're keeping well.
Mario 3 is definitely legendary status. Never gets old. Streets of Rage 2, great pick. Oh yes, Image Fight! Good taste lol. Breath of the Wild is in my top 20 of all time. Maybe I missed you speak on it, what would your SNES game be? Great idea and thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate!!! straight back at ya :0). BOTW is superb but I can't get my head around why TOTK didn't absorb me as much - I parked my life outside of work to get BOTW completed haha. It's a superb spot; I had it on my list including the game but like a numpty didn't grab the game!! The game is Street Fighter 2 - had that and Mario Kart for Christmas (must have been 1992!); had previously played it at my seafront arcades and also when the funfair come to down so it was amazing to be able to play it at home. Cheers for much for the awesome comment. means a lot! Enjoy the weekend.
Nice Vectrex game to start with and Renegade is a good choice some bbelters here pal Turf Masters nice another Turok game great series Absolute classic there pal with Knights of the old Republic Guitar Hero I started getting pains in my arms playing that so much lol RE2 is a quality remake Last of Us one of the few games that made me cry Evercade knew I forgot a system lol Forza just great driving games, and Diablo quality with new DLC on the way picked some great games there pal very nicely shared Ed
Cheers Bill! I keep going back to Armor Attack when firing the vectrex up so it had to be on the list :0). Turok has aged really well, I was a bit surprised albeit pleasantly so - the level designs are huge, way more on the go than I perhaps appreciated back in the day. Ouch, Guitar Hero's elbow haha - pretty intense game and again it has aged well. Agreed on the Last of Us; I can't think of another game that has presented such an emotional rollercoaster. I was completely sucked in. I'll need to fire up Diablo again particularly if new DLC heading in. Thanks as always mate :0). Much appreciated.
Thanks mate! I'm very grateful for the feedback. It was certainly an interesting one to prepare for; most of the time was in selecting the games and wrestling with my choices haha. Hope you and the family are keeping well. Thanks as always.
Mario bros 3 I can’t knock that NES choice or streets of rage I def agree that would be mine too on Megadrive. I can’t remember having any games on master system other than hang on and wonderboy lol
cheers Scott! SMB3 is class; I need to play it again as it has been a while. mate out of all the games on the platform those 2 are some decent ones to enjoy :0).
A man of taste, has to be renegade, great choice 🥰. Totally agree about neo turf masters also, personal favourite on the arcade machine. Kotor is a game I play every couple of years, I keep saying I'm going to be bad but always end up being good 🤣. Me n the wife love guitar hero 🤘 Last of us was amazing, unfortunately due to my hatred of the ps4 I can't play the sequel. Great picks.
Hey mate! Haha, we're in sync with the great renegade taste for sure :0). Turfmasters is incredible isn't it; not dissimilar in mechanics from the early Mario golf titles but the arcade graphics (and cheesy soundtracks) make it so much more mega. That's cool about the love for Guitar Hero. It still plays well; I can't sing to save my life so have never been into the Sing-type games; however rocking out on a guitar is amazing. I need to work out which ones I'm missing as unless things have changes they're cheapish titles for the Wii. Ooh ps4 hatred :0). To be honest mate I've replayed the original several times but perhaps only once for the sequel. It's not bad by any stretch but it goes on for way too long - I know games are pricey and one wants to get value for money but I was a bit dulled by the time I completed it. Chat soon!
Cheers mate! It's fantastic it really is. I think I still need to adjust the gain levels slightly but am getting to grips with it. Looking forward to the Blackpool trip vid later!!
Great picks there ed buddy 😄 it was Tony who started it bud 👊 if it wasn't for a boy wonder..... shinobi would of been top of my master system list. Streets of rage what a game 😍 breath of the wild, I love that game. I was waiting for chase hq to pop up 😂 looking forward to the handheld picks ed buddy 😄🕹👊
Thanks mate! Hope you're well. Must just have missed you at the London Market. Rocky is fab and usually a decent price. Can't remember if Ally has one in stock.
@@ComicsAndRetro you and I had widely different experiences haha. I put it down to our current focuses (as in what we collect for) perhaps being a bit different. I didn't enjoy the last event but thought this one was a goodun. I recently sorted a PS1 for my son so was on a mission for some PS1 fodder on Sunday - an easy objective I guess. I was about to leave the event and thought I'd do one final circuit - I then spotted something that I've been searching for for years and years - not rare but always in pants condition; a super price too. it kinda turned things around - if I hadn't have found it then perhaps I would have been lukewarm about the event itself. Vid will be out later. Will message you in future in case you're heading to an event. Would be great to say hi. There are some rumours that the event will change location i.e. somewhere else in London - will be interesting to see if that happens. Cheers!

Have you played the PC Engine SHINOBI? I am sure you will have, if not though it's brill. Nice you went for Image Fight (I've still not completed it) The PC Engine was big in France, a few of my games were from there, The Lost Sun Heart even has a French slip with the game manual telling you not to bend, pour water on, or set your cart' on fire, which were the first 3 things I was intending to do upon purchase, so that was disappointing. Do you have Mazes of Fate on GBA? That's one of the best D&D games I've ever played, proper old school dungeon crawling, collecting Keys, opening doors, I'd say drawing maps on grid paper but fortunately it does that for you as you progress each grid space.
Hey mate!! Yes I have; it's very well done perhaps even more aligned to the arcade than the SMS one. I'm off work today and have played some Image Fight! I'm sure however that the skills I'd built up when we both played it have evaporated as took some getting back into. What a game though. Haha, you PCE arsonist ;0). I couldn't believe my eyes seeing the PCE graphics in those French gaming mags - was on another level. I wish I'd kept some of them. No I don't. I'll have to track it down mate! Cheers for the tip. Nicely done!!! Some incredible games there. Salamander is a classic, incredibly addictive and timeless. I haven't played Magician Lord since the arcades; would love to pick up at some point but the carts come up fairly infrequently on ebay and of course are pricey. One day tho :0). I loved Prime back in the day; I think it may have been the first Metroid game I played as I didn't have a NES and also I never owned Super Metroid. The 3d approach remains impressive to this day. Cheers so much for sharing your picks. Have a good one and all the best.
